Out now if you get the deluxe edition. Only 55 dollars (I think based on conversion) which isn't the most expensive considering todays prices.
Based on the reviews I glanced over. Bigger and better than the first game in every way, negatives mostly around some small performance issues.

I'll be playing it later today. I'll suck at it of course, but I liked the open beta up until the end; got to the poison area and upgraded an item that gave poison immunity... but apparently that area and the mobs used a different type of poison, so I stopped.

Play the demo and if you don't like it, well carry on.
Been playing for a couple hours now. You get access to a new area that was locked during the demo which has a new Shell and Sidearm. Since I'm not so great at most "soulslikes" I decided to use the Slayer artifact thing. It does make the game easier, but you can no longer block/parry. It does give you a very strong special attack that requires about a 2 second charge, but it will usually one tap normal mobs, stagger tough mobs (for a Riptose) and generate a lot of stagger/break on bosses. If the boss gives you time to charge the attack, it makes the fight easy. It will also heal for a big chunk of health on a Riptose.
I've had no performance issues with DLSS/Quality/High settings, but I think they tried to get too fancy with some lighting effects, especially in foggy areas... makes it hard to see shit. They also seem to like exploding objects and exploding mobs. So beware of where you're swinging, lol.

Just found the candle that turns it night, makes everything a bit harder. Definitely a step up in difficulty. Have all shells unlocked but 1 now, still need a few weapons. This is a marked improvement from #1, improved in every way (did not really get on with the first, too janky). Movement feels good, weapons all feel different (lol at chainsaw scythe). Tiel seems super good as does Gessena.

What would you say the general progression of mob difficulty is via the Map? East > North > West > South? After defeating the first Boss (wheelchair Karen), I teleported to the Ruins of Mammon (South region), and the mobs there felt noticeably more tanky, but all the Shells and Weapons I want are down there, haha.
Just did the 2nd Boss, lvl19 with a +10 Battle Axe and +6 Crossbow. Debating on going down South again, or heading to the West.

Reading you guys responses makes me realize just how bad I suck at these things. Got knocked out of my shell twice in the training area and ganked back to the respawn at the first named mob I came to , some red dude past the crawly poison guys (who dropped nothing).
I love the look and I guess 'idea' of these games but my reactions are no good. I get a mob in my face and just start mashing buttons until I'm dead. Lol

This is a much better release than the first game. Polished combat, better story presentation, and better performance.
Level 12, have cleansed two of the initial three gates, currently beating my head against the third boss. I appear to not even have 20% of the map discovered but apparently there are only 6 gates so maybe I don't explore enough.

Get to Marrow Keep, find the Slayer Seal, while it is basically a cheat code, you'll have fun.

nah I uninstalled it was going to play Elden Ring again but realized I picked up Lies of P somewhere in the past and started it last night. Pretty damn fun.

Has anyone been playing while using headphones, or maybe a good speaker setup?
I've been using headphones, but the horrible positional audio is driving me crazy. It is like every sound source in the game has its channel swapped. I see something on my left and it makes a sound, but the sound comes from the right. Sound channels work properly outside the game, and the game music sounds like proper stereo.

Just finished my run. Only had difficulty with 3 bosses in the game, including the last one. By the time I was grinding against the last guy I decided to move on. Chose the weak/wrong ending and moved on to the next thing in my backlog.
