Got the wife on a klx 110 she crashing often but loving it. I put some plastics and graphics on the CRF 150R. Will get a 250 eventually but still having a blast on it while I learn how to moto.

That looks like a really comfortable bike. I would love to try it on and off road.

Ah, those little light bikes are so much fun when you're learning. Glad she's willing to get back on when she crashes.

Decals, bars and triple clamp on the wifes 110. Came out great, getting really good at putting these on. No bubbles this time.

Yesterdays shenanigans on the pit bikes
Was super dry, then it rained and track was perfect, then it didn't stop raining so we rode the puddles/mud, best time I have had in months. Sand is so hard to keep the power down, back end just wants to swing wide constantly. Sorry for the dirt on the lens was impossible to keep clean, didn't even try it when we rode the mud.

Wife ended up buying me a 2023 YZ 250f for anniversary present, it immediately felt better under me vs the 150R. I am
Blasting jumps I wouldn’t attempt on the smaller bike and we are having a hell of a time together.

Ordered some GP Shorties for the Scout today. I'm preparing to coax myself past the "holy cow those are loud I can't live with that" reaction. I'm done agonizing about what to replace the hideous stock mufflers with. I figured $160. to try something new and see how it goes is worth it.

Been idly looking a little looking at downgrading from my H2 since I never ride out here, debris/ extra retards/ cops/ hot.

I rebuilt the carburetor on my 1997 Honda Rebel last month. Figured might as well, since I had to replace the float needle. Finally managed to shove it all back inside the frame but now my motorcycle sometimes has a starting/running probem. Last weekend I rode around for an hour, no problems. Started heading home and it started dying on me every couple hundred feet and would have a hard time starting up each time. Took 3-5 minutes to get going each time, so I just kept going a couple hundred feet at a time while trying to troubleshoot.

The solution ended up being removing the gas cap to relieve the pressure inside the tank. Put the cap back on, bike instantly started.

But I still dont understand the reason for why pressure in gas tank would prevent the bike from starting or running. Any ideas?

It's vapor lock. You fudged something up in your carb rebuild.

That new ZX-4RR is hot and interest rates are even hotter so it's probably not plausible.

Unless I'm mistaken, think my H2 still worth about 16k, owe 6. Was thinking of getting out of bikes completely because of my back reinjured, shitty rural roads with gravel and armadillo's, before I hit open 65mph highways that makes 100mph a big charge and risks idiots pulling in front.

If I just trade it or buy private, was kinda interested in the 4RR but still probably somewhat uncomfortable for an hour with my back, less storage for a bag and gun belt storage. I'm currently looking at the newer scouts that are supposed to be better or like oldish GS7/800's.

Or just take the money for a high mpg shitbox to complement the tundra i traded the mustang for.

This is the first summer where riding has taken its toll on me from the heat. I've been trying to just leave it in the garage and just take the car but then I go it's only 6 miles. Get home from whatever I'm doing and just pass out.

Almost pulled the trigger on the rsv4 factory today. Sat down to get financing and interest rates are just stupid even with 800 credit score and 10k down

First thought: ya, interest rates suck unless we're talking money market accounts.

Second thought: wait, 10K down?? How much are (admittedly premium with Aprilia) liter class sportbikes going for these days?? $26K for the 'factory' trim?? YEESH

Third thought: I had a 2000 RSV Mille Aprilia. It really was a fantastic bike. Went like a Ducati with the reliability of a Honda and arguably better looks than either. With just an Akro can on it it sounded like it should be sitting on the WSB grid. Magnificent.

Fourth thought: what are these new ones putting out? 190HP??? Dayum. Hope these fancy new electrons can handle that, because even 20 years ago me wouldn't have been able to deal with that much poke very well, methinks.

Fifth thought: 20 years ago me would probably scoff at that notion and also current me's great satisfaction with my 25 year old Harley. Current me is amazed at how much fun can be had even at low speeds on that thing, but also glad that sportbike skills were learned early and apply to this current hulking beast.
