Interesting that Stevens is taking the role and giving up coaching. It's probably time for a new voice in the locker room, anyway.

Did he seriously exit the game with over 5 minutes left?

He's not going to handle Father Time's victory well given his ego. It's becoming apparent LBJ's physical decline is gonna be filled with some drama. Kinda looking forward to it.

Seriously, the 1 championship he helped bring the Lakers last year just isn't worth having his name attached to them.

I'm really more sad that AD clearly is never going to be fully healthy, and they won't be able to build around him for the future.

Your owner called him a top 5 Laker. Surely that gives you confidence

All of the sudden the entire media is labeling AD "injury prone". It just materialized recently, and I see right through it.

Big media is so fucking funny, its sad how many troglodytes just slurp up everything they splooge out, suddenly crafting narratives in order to push or suppress certain lines of thought. This particular stink bomb smells like Lebron. I bet his brand machine is pulling levers in order to push the Davis is injury prone shit, as right after he got injured, LeBron made the "these broad shoulders were built for this type of challenge" or whatever the fuck he spouted.

So now LeBron is able to:

-Blame losing on Davis being injured, as he didnt have the help he needed, i.e wasnt his fault.

-Take an outsized amount of credit for carrying his shorthanded team to victory, proving his ultimate worth to the team sans Davis.

Any player who trumpets wanting "his damn respect" after winning a title when he was supposed to, shows the incredible amount of self importance they have. At the end of the day, LeBron crying about a teammate not passing him the ball, or looking dejected after a teammate misses shot, not getting back on defense, going to locker room early, simply shows exactly what kind of sportsman he really is. Ultimate success is not enough for Lebron to be fulfilled, it has to be ultimate success THROUGH HIM.

I honestly think his entire rift with Kyrie (even though Irving is a fucking pussy) was born from him hitting the deciding 3 point shot to win the series against Golden State in 2016. I truly believe Lebron felt some type of way about it, and not just the shot itself, but the dynamic of Kyrie taking ownership of it, and the media touting Kyrie as clutch and a superstar in his own right etc. This stewed and eventually bubbled over into Kyrie feeling like he deserves to be the leader of his own team and destiny.

If the Lakers win Game 6 and LeBron goes nuts, the cock sucking is going to go into overdrive. I hope the Suns can close them the fuck out.

Davis has missed more games per season than the average ‘star.’

he averages playing around 65 games and as a New Orleans guy I can vouch that he’s hurt a lot!

I'd be hurt a lot if I had to constantly carry a guy the size of LeBron.

Davis is absolutely an injury risk, then again most big men are. See KP, Embiid etc... I do get your point though. Always excuses for LeBron.

LeBron picked AD end of fucking story. LA went all in to aquire AD at Lebrons insistence now live with the results. One thing is for sure no other franchise will be willing to mortgage the farm for LeBron ever again.

AD has a history of nagging injuries, but I wouldnt say he is damaged goods or anything. The guy just won a title and was a pretty large part of it. And yea like Drakurii just said, LeBron recruited AD and the Lakers wanted this duo. Since playing together LeBron has been hurt a bit himself, I think fatigue in general from the shortened turn around because of pandemic is having an effect.

My main point was that LeBron is going to blame not being healthy on why he didnt win this year. If AD would of been able to stay on the floor we would have won it all again no problem, but hey AD got hurt not my problem.

I mean in theory AD does almost everything you'd want when paired with Lebron. He has definitely had a history of missing games basically every year, but until this season he hasn't really missed any playoff games out of the 30 odd games he's been part of.

LeBron is old in basketball years, like they say father time is undefeated. I'm not saying he is washed up but he can't carry a team to a title anymore. Dudes are too young and talented these days. Unfortunately LeBron is really showing his age this year, this off season he needs to do a lot of soul searching and be honest with himself.

And lets be real. That championship he won last year was due in part because they got a HUGE layoff last year. At his age that was a godsend.

AD absolutely had the stigma of being injury prone. When Boston was trying to get in on the AD sweepstakes, that came up time and time again. Was it worth giving up the house for an injury prone guy for one year, regardless of his talent.

Yeah talking about AD's injury history like it wasn't a known thing is pretty silly. That's always been the biggest knock on him.

This is just really bad basketball. Mavs have no offense, trying to bleed the clock with like 7 mins to go (lol). Somehow George keeps tripping over his own dick and turned it over like 3 out of 4 possessions. Hardaway and KP randomly hit a couple of bail out 3's to somehow keep the Mavs in front. Then they have 3 terrible defensive possessions and give up 9 points in a minute. Not sure how both teams are so inept down the stretch. They should both take a loss.

Yeah that game was just ugly. Especially down the stretch.
