Yeah the trade seemed really awkward because the Rams are far from just a QB away from being a super bowl contender. They need those picks to actually shore up most of their team.
Titans with 6 of first 76 picks. Rams with 1 of the first like ~104.

During Gordon's brief lapses of not smoking pot (very, VERY brief) he wasn't even that great when he was allowed on the field. You don't just not play football for 2 years at the highest level and come back and light it up. Not going to happen. Well he is going to light it up but in a different sense.

And for the Browns they arealwaysshoring up non-skill positions. Is one of the main reasons they have absolutely no skill position players on the entire team. At some point in time you have to stop being pussyshits and get a playmaker.
Here's Gordon's stats:;Josh Gordon: Career Stats at NFL.com

You are straight fucking retarded if you think Gordon sucked. You can talk shit about him being stupid for getting high and suspended over and over. You can even say he won't come back the way he was but you can NOT say he "wasn't even that great".

He put up 1646 yards in 14 games. If he plays 2 more games that season he could have set the single season yardage record. He had 9 TDs that season also.

That doesn't even show what he was truly capable of though:Josh Gordon: Game Logs at NFL.com

Look at the 4 games after he came off the bye week.
5 rec 125 yds 1 td vs Cinci, that D doesn't suck...
14 for 237 1 td vs Pitt
10 for 261 2 tds vs Jaxnville
7 for 151 1 td vs NE

4 game stretch 36 receptions for 794 yards and 4 tds in 4 games. You are sooooo fucking high if you think "he wasn't that great". Those 2 back to back 200+ yard games were the first in history. He did this playing for the BROWNS!!!! The one thing he had going for him was Norv Turner's deep ball system and clearly Gordon was the right fit for that system.

The guy has real potential if he gets paired with the right coach and he'll obey the bullshit rules. I still have hope for him to have a good career. I like seeing players reach their potential.

I am leery of Bosa the same way I have been about anything out of Alabama and now Ohio State. Teams that overloaded with recruits tend to have force multipliers due to that depth.

Seeing Khalil Mack playing for Buffalo and dominating Ohio State with no other talent around him is an easy evaluation. Bama's secondary guys have been massively overhyped and drafted in recent years due to sitting back and reaping the benefits of a dominant front 7. I think the same thing is happening now at OSU. Bosa reminds me more of Andy Katzenmoyer than JJ Watt.
I wholeheartedly agree. Not all but MOST Alabama players don't live up to the hype in the NFL. Ingram finally has value but it took 3 years to finally see it. Look at all those amazing O linemen that left Alabama when they won those championships... They're not terrible but none of them are All pros like everyone suspected. I think Alabama just gets a greater pool of talent and as a team they look great. That said though, Saban coaches the fuck out of his players and puts them in a position to succeed. I don't like Saban at all but he's a great, great coach. I won't say all Alabama players suck cause clearly Julio Jones is great but most haven't lived up to their hype imo.

Please Jesus let Andrew Luck play for 16 games... Colts schedule is absolutely hilariously easy. I think there's 2 teams I consider "good" and probably 2-3 that COULD be good next year and the rest are just hot buckets of dog shit.

Saban wins through force of sheer recruiting. A lot of NFL coaches say their guys entering the pros have had their bodies worn out a lot already, esp their running backs.

The Rams deal seems bad, and it will be obviously if the pick doesnt pan out, but honestly, I think they needed to move up one way or the other. This team has went through so many QB's because of Bradfords injuries, and then it has been a shit show since he left, so they obviously needed a top prospect at QB coming out of the draft. No team these days are gonna trade that #1 unless its a deal you cant refuse.

Also, think of it, Tenn could draft 3 busts this year easily and maybe garner 1 productive prospect with a couple positional players that could make the team. If Wentz or the other kid is a good rookie prospect at QB (which is possible-- Rg3 was on fire his rookie year, Luck, Russel Wilson, Keapernick, David Carr to a lesser extent etc.) then the trade was easily worth it.

The Titans could end up turning those picks into starters, which would skew the deal obviously but its hard to hit on good rookies. They are there obviously, Khalil Mack, Travis Frederick (who Boys fans hated on so bad lol, now he is a pro bowler), Gurley, and so many more--there have been a ton of guys the last 4 or 5 years that have been huge assets to their teams as rookies, but to get one of them with the right pick is a different story.

Teams that draft well end up drafting mostly starters in the first few rounds pretty much every year.

Grats on Tunsil SD, expect less Rivers face this year as he won't be getting dry humped up and down the field all game long by the Dline.

Blogging the boys had a thing that showed hit rates for teams and draft picks, Cowboys have been one of the best teams in round 1-3 and dead last in 4-7 and if I remember right the Ravens sucked at 1-3 and had ungodly amounts of starters from 4-7. Ill see if I can find it and post a link. Edited for links and because I was clearly wrong about the Ravens.

Meanwhile Houston might actually have a QB, Jags will improve again, and Titans have a haul of picks to fill holes.

Future doesn't look good for the Colts imo.

Just for reference Cathan, his yards/game pace would not have broken Megatron's single season yardage record. It would have been nasty, don't get me wrong, but it wouldn't have broken the record.

The guy is a monster when playing (although some of those numbers against Cincy and Pitt were in some heavy garbage time games), but after missing a full year I doubt he'd come back and instantly be a world beater. This assumes he ever can quit and actually get reinstated.

Seattle has been pretty bad early in the draft. Earl Thomas is the only 1st rounder in the PC era still around. They do however nail their mid to late round picks.

I hope this is true as I would prefer to see them draft for the lines primarily. That being said most sites I saw still have the Chargers taking Ramsey. I don't prefer that but we definitely need a safety so I won't hate it.

I think it comes down to Washington and Dallas. Romo is a difference maker, as any franchise QB should be, but Washington made enough strides last year to give rise to the thought that they're not being run like a shitshow anymore. Philly is in upheaval after the Kelly experiment and might be mortgaging the future on Bradford's replacement. Giants just shelled out a ton of money in FA on the defensive side of the ball but did so on guys who didn't live up to those dollar figures before and are 99% likely to not do so now. Washington and Dallas are the most stable in terms of personnel and scheme so they have the edge.

But, it's the NFC East. Anything could happen. Last year was a good example of that.
