49ers absolutely killing it. Move back from 13 to 14 with Tampa and get pick 117 in the process (while also giving up a 7th rounder but whatever), then use 117 and 176 to move up from 31 to 25 to get Aiyuk. Lynch is a beast.

Lynch is a crafty fellow. Have to imagine the Bucs only traded with them so that nobody else would. Sucks they felt they HAD to do it but fuck it, needed the OL help and Wirfs is $$.

Most people I heard seemed to think Love is a huge reach as a 1st rounder too. Don't know about that pick.

49ers watching Packers trade up for Jordan Love: "Lol okay continue to double team Adams while we crush them rushing 4".

When the Packers drafted Rodgers, its because one of the universally considered two best QBs that year fell in their lap. It's difficult to describe Love as falling into their lap.

Then again, _maybe_ the draft is as WR deep as we think? Maybe? /begins drinking heavily.

Also nowadays it's so important to get quality cheap years out of rookie starting QB's before their 2nd contract kicks in, while the model worked for Rodgers behind Farve, now if Love really is going to be "the future" you're likely burning at least 2 rookie deal years.

Barnwell already has the numbers, its nearly $40mil cap hit if they traded Rodgers this year, and over $30mil next year, so yeah, he will only be used for emergencies / the annual Rodgers injuries for two of the cheap years. /switches to hard liquor

Dont know why KC took a running back.
it's at least a little bit of a need and maybe they didn't think any of the defensive dudes at that spot were worth it and nobody wanted to trade up to their pick for anyone. I bet they mostly take defense the rest of the way.

At the time it felt like the 49ers gave up a lot to move up and grab Aiyuk, but since they got that 4th essentially for free, it just ain't that bad.

Shanahan said Aiyuk was his #1 WR that he watched, with Lamb being 2nd.
