I already purchased a new board, but would gladly grab this combo if all I needed was the 5800. I’d do the same with a 3080 if that’s the only way I can get my hands on a card.

Ya I don't see much a point to go from my 3800X to a 5800X. What games I do play seem to only use like 25-50% of the 3800X as it is. The 2060 super is holding me back but still gets plenty of frames on ultra for my games.
I think the only upgrade I'll do this year is better storage that utilizes the pci4.0 bus I got in my MB. Although the Evo Pro seems pretty fast as it is.

Wish I had done 1 1tb instead of 2 500s. Didn't realize at the time for some reason the 1tb+ evos were faster.

Yea they had a real-ish amount of stock this morning magically.

Bought a 3090 FE cause I have more money than sense these days.

Had and lost a 3090, was going to sell it to a friend at retail. For Best Buy, apple pay is the only way to go. I fumbled my CC and fooked it.
