Water hasn't warmed up yet, PBO limits increased. This 5950x will be probably 85c once it all soaks in.

Wish I had a 5900x instead, but I got what I could get back in Dec'20.

It's actually hotter when doing single core loads. It just can't dissipate the spot heat on the tiny cores.

Yeah, my 5900x can get up to 72-74c during intense single-core stuff. It'll usually sit around 65-68c in most "modern" games - the latest Pathfinder for instance has it running around 65-68c at max settings.

I did have a weird issue crop up after a motherboard update that had it idling around 60-65c, but a small undervolt solved it and keeps it in PBO for longer lengths. So, it actually ended up as a performance boost.

If anything the lower your computer is, the more heat is being transferred into your room.
Actually .. it doesn't matter. The thermal energy generated (as measured in Watt) by the system is identical, and dissipates the same into your room on a long enough time-axis. Unless the CPU throttles due to thermal limits, of course. But if that happens something is seriously wrong.
