Asmongold isn't wrong but I think a lot of MMO players who have never played EQ or even VG know what they are looking at with a game like this. Because it's not obvious from short gameplay clips how different game sessions are from a game like WoW. It's intended to be more like a session of D&D as opposed to 30 minute dungeon runs with auto matchmaking.

Wtf, no it isn’t. Just because it’s slower mouse clicks doesn’t mean everyone is role playing or even intended to be role playing. EQ only had one server dedicated to role playing and I’m not sure half that server even did it.

Also i'm curious for those of you who played EQ back in the day. How much did the first expansions affect previous content? for Kunark & Velious did you still have to progress through the original content in a meaningful way rather than bulldozing through them?

No, Kunark was 1-60 zones
EQ never really had "Progression" till PoP before that it was level then raid pretty much
