I think the mods kicked him out of his incel thread so he fake quit for a bit.
He couldn't stop himself from sperging out, so LLR removed his polpit access. And grieving his loss, Araysar sperged out and got called out by LLR and quit to go soothe his wounds with Nirgon in whatever weird dysfunctional relationship they had.

Imagine if this thread that is not cared about, anything goes, suddenly changed one day. With a huge meltdown about no one gives a fuck what was said before, but it's serious now and Nirgon is admin. Now spice it up with this coinciding with an announcement that Pantheon was cancelled, I was wrong and am super mad about it. People get real upset and you just gotta leave em with it sometimes my brother in quests.

Pantheon released Sep 9th, 2013. This is pantheon, you are playing it. It's easily one of the most entertaining games i've played in years.

I actually logged in for like half an hour today.
The people online are pretty much the same people that were online 6 months ago, so nothing much has changed, except that they are higher level and more people are boxing.

Let's see, it's peak time in Europe right now, let's see the server population on sunday EU

Dec2025-SundayEUPrimetime-Pantheon.jpg

The promised T4-6 crafts that were supposed to go in like 6 months ago still aren't done.
Still no Bards.
Still undevelopped zones.
The only thing that's new is AB dungeon part 2 with the "raid" encounter that about two raidgroups on the server are sharing.

Look at those massive PVP numbers. No one could have predicted that.

Once you get past the "ooo group with bros" for a week or two, there is nothing else, that's the only fun to be had. You can get the exact same experience with Valheim or any survival game.

Dev(s?) only listen to the crazies, rather than focusing on QoL and actual FUN shit to do. The FUN is how you create word of mouth, this game is out to punish the fuck out of you and make the experience miserable, it's alpha FFS, phase in the punishment towards release when the game has some meat to it.

Alpha WoW was janky and cheesy looking as fuck, but it was FUN.

Honestly this game could have used some of us critical fuckers on the team, or at least in the devs ear, we were honest at least, rather than sucking dev dick hoping for future favors.

I fell bad for Joppa, always seemed like a cool dude, I have no idea why he only opened his ears for the asshumpers.

I think main issue was lack of content. Joppa totally unable to focus or prioritize issues and content patches were slipshod and spotty. You make people pay for a game, you create certain expectations of a level of content availability. Bugs in an early access are forgiveable. Having little to nothing to do past the early levels is not. This did not, and likely still does not, meet those expectations.

Its a good demo. Just seems they have no idea how to flesh out anything besides classes.

Its been a full year of class tuning and buildouts, with only 2 zones added.

2 zones a year is fine if the game was released in a full state. The reason it's not acceptable is because the stuff thats in isn't enough 30-50.

My personal opinion is that they fundamentally do not have devs employed who are able to make the game. There is no way to explain why easy to fix problems with mechanics, class functioning, and other misc. bugs simply have not been fixed in over a year. The only explanation I can think of is that they contract out the vast majority of development, and the contractors are not just standing by to fix things.

When i bug report something in MnM, the typical response goes something like this: Within hours a dev will be like 'oh thanks, ive identified the problem as being x y z - this is why it was happening and Ive isolated and fixed it". Within hours. Because the people on the team know how to develop the game they are making, are passionate about what they are building, and actively try to make it better. Even AoC - a much larger endeavor with hundreds of staff who are more inclined to just ignore people because they get spammed so much / are indifferent because they are on a payroll - when I find bugs after patches and report them, the fucking dev team responds and fixes them on the spot.

VR just dont have the people needed to make this game. Maybe I will be wrong, just the vibes I get.

Pantheon and MNM are both case studies on development. Pantheon is a game with money but no developers, just fans who became theorycrafters who became the dev team. It's a much better looking game than MNM because they can buy art assets off the unity store, but their pace of development is atrocious because there aren't any real devs working on it. They do have much more fleshed out classes and mechanics than MNM though, because they are theory crafters first.

MNM has 2 real devs but no money. The game looks like it was drawn by a 14 year old using MS paint. Their world is larger and more fleshed out because they focused on designing the world first. The classes are barebones but starting to fillout. Their pace of development is much quicker.

They are, at their heart, the same game, an EQ successor, going after the same 5k players. Pantheon has money, got further rounds of funding, and is on steam. If they ever manage to actually finish the game they'll continue to have success on steam and will be able to charge a subscription and keep their 5k players.

If MNM refuses to launch on steam they'll never breakthrough or see any financial success despite being a more complete game. And without money the game will always look like brown dookie water dog ass. I would recommend that they hire an artist, low poly counts aren't a hindrance if you have charm and style, even a voxel/minecraft looking game like Aldrullan Online has more charm to its characters and world than MNM does. But that requires money and they seem dead set against ever making any.

If this were a marathon race and the end result is securing the 5k middle aged meth addicts living in trailer parks which is the entire EQ fanbase in 2025, then Pantheon is at mile 25 and closing in on the finish line, despite being the slower horse. MNM is still shooting itself in the dick at the starting line but who knows.
