What build? My CI trickster has like 8500 ES and ghost shrouds and i'm pretty sure I survived a hit from a shaper ball in uber elder one of the times I killed him, definitely not squishy...

And if you're doing life trickster and just want some ES for EB-MoM, evasion + life chests should be cheap unless something crazy happened in the last few days. 1500 eva is low.

Yeah I could try it with other spells too, that was just the one I threw in there. I'll open it up real quick and see what the numbers are with something else, but probably lower since i'd have to do something like GMP for freezing pulse. I figured GC in each would do fine for clearing but maybe i'm wrong on that too.

Edit: NVM with the FP jewels I wouldn't need gmp.

Swapping to FP with cold pen and hypothermia is showing 46k normal hit, 34k shaper hit. And I was wrong, the 25/45k for GC was the DPS not the hits, so FP actually seems way better, and frostbolt is slightly above FP at 37k shaper hit.

Frostbolt + Ice Nova is ridiculously strong once geared. I played it last league and had a lot of fun with it. There is a pretty in depth guide that details the interaction between CoC, frostbolt, and ice nova in the shadow forums.

I'll check it out when I get the itch to come back and roll the character. Was planning on dual cospris scion (jugg + assassin) just because I have 2 cospris sitting in my stash, not sure if it'd work out like a normal CoC build.

I’m convinced. I’m starting to realize my fun is in hitting red maps then starting anew.

How are people handling memory modifiers now? I find it very rare to even have 3 adjacent placed memories if I'm just pathing to distant memories. I saw a suggestion(wish I could find it again) on reddit that you placed 3x3 square near your nexus and your memory modifiers always went there. Transfer the memories out as they fill up. I don't see the point of a 3x3 square, a cross seems better?

Am I crazy or did I misunderstand - if you transfer them out to your queue once they are full of mods, they lose all the mods except those they rolled when created. I think. I just did like 3 hours in the Nexus and that was the premise I was going with but apparently I did not read the warning you get when you pull out an island thoroughly enough. I could see putting a grid by the Nexus and modding them and then RUNNING them once they are full.

Edit - yeah I just checked and yes, all the mods are removed when you put them in your queue again. So are any special mods from the yellow squares on the map. Based on this, one assumes it was designed so the additional mods are applied to the SQUARE on the memory map and not the memory in that square.

That was dumb. Stopped playing while still working on story figured I'd get back when some stuff was patched in. Finished up the story and I was like damn seems hard. This build blows.

Didn't look, only lvl 63. doh.

I am clearly an idiot and cannot figure out how to move previously placed memories without moving them to the queue. Will have to google.

Edit, nm figured it out. I'm still an idiot.

Obviously you are because the mechanics of the league are very clearly spelled out on how to use them lol.

Anyone try the PS4 version? Still cant imagine this game with the limits of a controller.

I downloaded it (also bought 400 points to get the needed tabs just for support for a game I love).

Movement is like Diablo 3 and works well though not as accurate as a mouse. Difficult fights like shaper \ elder might cause issues.

Skills are tied to buttons and work fine, though I expect the more intricate builds around curses and such could be a bit worse if they extend beyond the 4 buttons

Flasks are R1 L1 and left, right, up on the pad. Down is map. R1 and L1 also uses the same type. So works well with heal\mana, but again, something that is worse later on when you want to use flasks for the added effects. Easier to use the wrong potion, but R1 for heal and L1 for mana works well.

More clicks and such to move around in the passive map. Not as easy to open it and quickly pick a skill in the middle of a fight.

Moving around gems and such is also a few more clicks, but still works.

That said. By far the worst aspect is loot and accurate clicking. You end up picking up tons of things you don't want to. It is also difficult to click NPCs\items surrounded by loot. Example being the memory person. The X button is used to loot, talk to people, activate things like shrines and memories as well as being tied to a skill. I removed the skills from X, because it kept using a skill instead of clicking on the memory. Needed to move the character around the memory and spam X to find the point where it activated it.

When you finish the memory and loot pops up, clicking the ! on the NPC was actually hard. Had to loot things around him and then drop them away from him to get to talk to him.
I tried pressing all the buttons, don't think they have a button that lets you skip around the loot on the ground. I had to move around the character until I saw the X pop up on the item I wanted to loot. I does seem to have some auto focus on certain items though as spamming X in a loot explosion looked like it looted currency \ scrolls before items.

Tl;dr
For a casual lower speed run, PS4 probably works fine. The lack of accuracy of a mouse and crusor to click exactly what you want though will probably frustrate the hell out of PC players.

The right analog stick will let you navigate through nearby items. Also useful when someone else is standing on a waypoint.

Also, holding L3 will show loot hidden by the loot filter (and you can use the Right analog stick to navigate through that as well).

I'm wanting to try out a bow build. Was looking at a Tornado Shot build just cause it's looks fast for mapping.

Anyone got any experience playing it? I've not played a bow build yet, except HoA build but that was more keeping charges up on the crawler and lgoh rather than an actual bow build.

Anyone know of a good build or something better than Tornado Shot? Don't have a clue when it comes to bows.

The budget doesn't really matter that much.

I'd like to have loads of movespeed too.

I'm no bow specialist but you can look into 3 main different type of bow builds I think, Tornado Shot(and other attack based skills, but really TS is just better than the others), Toxic Rain for the chaos kinda dot kinda damage conversion build(with Caustic Arrow being an alternative, but worse in every aspect I believe also) and Elemental Hit(technically not limited to bows, but much better on bows). TS is a standard attack skill and requires a solid damage bow, has strong map clearing and ok boss damage, Toxic Rain is a mixed attack with some conversion but also some flat dot damage based on gem level and generally want skill levels and some weird stats, seems to be very strong at bossing but probably is a bit slower at mapping due to arrows firing in an area rather than flying offscreen and Elemental Hit is a "spell" kinda in that it gets flat damage from gem levels so it definitely wants high +gem levels, map clearing and boss damage are both ok although it was nerfed a fair bit so boss damage isn't absurd anymore I think.

For leveling, Toxic Rain looks much better than the rest(Ele Hit is basically unplayable for a while I think and TS starts pretty weak-ish unless you have good twink gear then it's pretty solid with like a Storm Cloud/The Tempest for a bunch of flat damage and a tabula for all the good links).

For speed, it's pretty easy, just plan on using Queen of the Forest as your body. While it's been nerfed several times and is only a shadow of its former glory, it still gives impressive amounts of speed. Any of the 3 ranger ascendencies also have a ton of speed, assuming you're going Ranger(not necessary mind you, I believe there's some decent alternatives, but still is pretty solid), Pathfinder with all the flask effects on quicksilvers+additional speed when flasking, Deadeye with Tailwind and Raider with perma onslaught/movespeed on frenzy charges(mind you Raider is still considered one of the weakest ascendency since you can get a bunch of the stuff via items).

If you play Tornado Shot your going to want to have a separate skill for bossing cause that might be one of the worst bossing skills in the game. Maybe Barrage or Scourge Arrow/Caustic Arrow (could probably craft a super easy +3 bow and have it in offhand and have Windripper for TS).

Lvl 70. Still kind of struggling and just getting it all together really. Still picking upvery low end currency items building my stash.

Jade Amulet dropped and item filter went beserk, figured it was a junk item as normal.

The Halcyon. Never had one before. Trade site shows 5.3 exalt. Not bad for mapping on the desert. Only had like 3 maps I think. Beats the 4c I have the stash and 2c I've spent so far. Skipping a few weeks of the league pays off.

Reading up on it supposed to drop in a breachstone map. Not sure why it dropped in the desert map. Seems like it dropped when a breach ran into the boss (and I died). Glad I went back and got it.

I got one of those really early last league from turning in breach cards.

It's a fated so you can use a blessing on it and turn it into a pandemonius.

Whatever the case it's a really nice drop if you need a few shekles.
