Anyone try the PS4 version? Still cant imagine this game with the limits of a controller.
I downloaded it (also bought 400 points to get the needed tabs just for support for a game I love).
Movement is like Diablo 3 and works well though not as accurate as a mouse. Difficult fights like shaper \ elder might cause issues.
Skills are tied to buttons and work fine, though I expect the more intricate builds around curses and such could be a bit worse if they extend beyond the 4 buttons
Flasks are R1 L1 and left, right, up on the pad. Down is map. R1 and L1 also uses the same type. So works well with heal\mana, but again, something that is worse later on when you want to use flasks for the added effects. Easier to use the wrong potion, but R1 for heal and L1 for mana works well.
More clicks and such to move around in the passive map. Not as easy to open it and quickly pick a skill in the middle of a fight.
Moving around gems and such is also a few more clicks, but still works.
That said. By
far the worst aspect is loot and accurate clicking. You end up picking up tons of things you don't want to. It is also difficult to click NPCs\items surrounded by loot. Example being the memory person. The X button is used to loot, talk to people, activate things like shrines and memories as well as being tied to a skill. I removed the skills from X, because it kept using a skill instead of clicking on the memory. Needed to move the character around the memory and spam X to find the point where it activated it.
When you finish the memory and loot pops up, clicking the ! on the NPC was actually hard. Had to loot things around him and then drop them away from him to get to talk to him.
I tried pressing all the buttons, don't think they have a button that lets you skip around the loot on the ground. I had to move around the character until I saw the X pop up on the item I wanted to loot. I does seem to have some auto focus on certain items though as spamming X in a loot explosion looked like it looted currency \ scrolls before items.
Tl;dr
For a casual lower speed run, PS4 probably works fine. The lack of accuracy of a mouse and crusor to click exactly what you want though will probably frustrate the hell out of PC players.
