Between the atlas changes and having a character that can actually kill things, been really fun for me.

My RF was pretty much exactly like you're describing. What really helped me get to the next level was upgrading to the melding jewel for 90% fire/cold/light res. Now I occasionally get one shotted but it's more because I just yolo into shit or don't pay enough attention when I'm clicking things. Crafting a nice helm has really helped the dps.
I'm not sure there's a way to do that except via aura stacking your resists(phys and elemental) all to 90%, using CI to be immune to chaos, and replenishing spirit to have good sustain.
Melding of the Flesh introduced comparatively cheap ways to get your elemental resists maxed, but solving physical resistance for large hits is still an issue. You can time them with VMS and just eat them, but that doesn't line up with a low dps character. There are some aura stackers that can get close to 1M armor, that almost 90% reduces a 15k hit. But those builds struggle with fitting in CI and still being not absurdly expensive.
There are probably other forms of really tanky builds out there but i haven't looked at poe stuff lately, this is just something i remember from a while back.
So I’d like to use a mage blood at some point but I only ever make ‘headhunter’ currency during a league. Was wondering if anyone in guild gets magebloods early , I’d pay a good amount to literally just borrow it for a week to fuck around with
I don't know if anyone in guild has the pockets and playtime for that belt. The few that might would likely go with a HH anyway.
Wanted to share a build I've been enjoying the past few weeks. I keep coming back to this one while rolling a couple characters just to try out. It's aura stacking(surprise!). It's not a tank like the classic aura stacker above, but it's no slouch defensively. Just don't stand in shit that you shouldn't be.
It more than makes up for that in dps and relative cheapness. I wouldn't recommend starting this until you have 5-10ex, but no singular item except a 6L Doryani's Prototype should cost more than 10s of chaos. And you can even run a 5L for a while, this build has dps to spare.
In addition to aura stacking, it abuses the global increased damage on replica dreamfeather. Remember when they had to make stat stacking weapons add damage to that specific weapon? No idea why they repeated that here and haven't fixed it. Both weapons add 2k+ increased damage. The idea is to drop ancestor totems, hit your flask macro, which should include blood rage and enduring cry to generate frenzy and brutality charges, and kill the boss before flasks expire or your totems die. 45M dps should be enough to burn down any target, maybe two if you're doing an invitation.
And I don't think I'm doing any PoB warrior shenanigans, though I'm certainly welcome to feedback. The base dps is high enough that I think expecting 45M burst dps is realistic. Those silly youtube highlights that burn down bosses before they do anything? Easily done here.
Don't do Mineral Pools, map(sucks) or boss(beam kills you). Be very cautious of Baran squares. Shaper beam will kill you instantly. Usual Doryani's Prototype weaknesses. I'd like to solve chills and curses but whatever. You can VMS through most large hits you see coming. I haven't found shocks, ignites, or poisons worth solving.
There are probably other forms of really tanky builds out there but i haven't looked at poe stuff lately, this is just something i remember from a while back.
That bottom one has over 100 ex just in 2 jewels. I've only been playing since the league where you had all the stones and you added them as you zoned in? Legacy? I've probalby seen 50 ex total from that point to today.
Yeah, CaptainLance is a good theorycrafter but does a poor job of managing his costs. One of his ward loop videos starts off with "3-passive voices are only 18ex, so I thought, why not?". And yes, 18ex for 3-passive voices is relatively cheap compared to what they usually cost, but it's still 10s of exalts.
I'm a poor and I suck at making builds. Why I like ones that have multiple levels done in their POB, starting, mapping, little higher and then all out dream setup cost wise. Let's you fit the build to your budget as you go.

Question: why do you have 15K inputted for damage incoming in your POB there? Nothing actually hits that hard other than 1 shot mechanics, right? Just curious.

But in my defense those jewels are the least interesting part of the build and strictly for dps which you said you didnt care about.

If any of you are looking for high dps boss type stuff, now is usually a decent time to play stat stackers (though I suppose Omniescence may be fucking with it) because a lot of people are moving on from their old stacker characters/min-maxing their gear so there's a lot of really nice upgrades for cheapish. I highly recommend most BLS str stackers, especially as a first or 2nd character during a league start. Hollow Palmers are also pretty great, but I think right now they seem to have a lower damage ceiling than Str stackers or Int stackers. The ol' dex stacking ballista siege totem build is an absolute boss murderer for like no money as it uses almost exclusively uniques. Most of these builds don't rely on GG clusters and stuff like triple multi jewels are just icing on the cake later on. Hollow Palmers sometimes need some multi res jewels which can be slightly expensive (1exish MAYBE), but otherwise you can get shit pretty cheap especially with fractured jewels.

Still 12M without! I'm fine with checking flasks in this case because that's enough DPS to down a boss before they're up.
I'll admit that I copied(without understanding) that from RueToo's LS zerker that converts most if not all phys hits to elemental and then moves armor to protect elemental hits. I want to say his intent was to see how tanky the build is versus one shots. I've been using it on all my PoBs since. Maybe that's not the right thing to do.
The only negative to me this league is the losing of the 6 link prophecy. I'm still using a random 5 link chest I picked up not all that long ago. My bow is still only 5 linked as well so its making me slowly just want to give up on this league for that one thing alone which sucks.

I logged on after a week or two of not playing and I was running some of my 72 Alva missions in Strands and I have the perk for Incursion rares, so I was trying to check the tiers on every pair of gloves that were dropping and I couldn't remember if you could use advanced stats on the ground or not. Felt really weird like an alternate reality, but just figured I mis-remembered. Then I read that post. That's super fucking dumb. There's 0 way this stands. Only thing I can think of is when people in Blight maps and shit hold alt to check rolls then get BLASTED by 3million drops and it crashes their client. Even then I think I've only seen people freeze up for 2-3 seconds when that happened and they could just have the advanced stats check set to a different button setup than Alt.
