Gnome Priest fine makes sense you can see gnome priests in gnomer. Undead Paladin makes legit no sense since the light burns undead and if I remember correctly only Zeliak was able to call on the light after death so apparently every undead paladin is the equivelant to one of the 4 horse man.

I mean I understand why they gave undead paladin because the other 3 races legit made no sense but I mean Troll Paladin might have made more sense lore wise than Undead. All Horde races get a new class added to them Night Elves get boned they could have easily added in Night Elf Paladin or Mage instead they gave Dwarf 2 new combos.

I don't know the server was so hyped and I'm not seeing why people were so hyped. Like... just make a TBC server and lock the level to 60 and lock the Dark Portal... congratz you got Epoch.

Because we want classic with better QoL and more content, which there is a ton of. But guess what? It’s not in the first few levels. 20,000 item changes, updates, and additions. New dungeons. Every old dungeon revised and improved. All raids improved; 25 man instead of the miserable 40 man as well.
You want retarded custom, it’s the other Ascention servers. Me - and about 40,000 other players - want a better classic, and that’s what this is.

Glad you spent time in the newbie zone to make an educated opinion about a game you saw 1% of the content for. Tried a revamped dungeon? Naw!! Those moonkin were WACK!!

It's about presentation. If their idea of new content is a quest where they stick owlkin in a corner and call it good that doesn't exactly instill confidence in their custom content. Mind you it wasn't just the quests that turn me off.

How can people claim something is custom when they're talents are TBC talents? Sure there are some changes mainly to shaman's, it seems like the only class they actually went out of their way to make actual changes. Mages can summon weapons... Great? This seems like a flavor thing and not a worthwhile investment.

Things like Steady Shot is a level 52 ability, why? Because you got it at 66 in TBC that's why, it's a dumb decision when everyone knows with the current way the talents are set up Hunters will be using the 1button macro.

I'm glad people are enjoying it but I see a lot more people saying things similar to what I'm saying instead of it living up to the hype.

Seems like you and these "a lot of people" aren't signing up to play what the Epoch server was selling. This was never advertised as the whole world is changed. They added QoL shit and TBC talents in "classic" world with the best version of the client. Many of the instances were tweaked and a few bosses were added and existing abilities changed slightly along with a handful of new areas as well. That was the sell.

It appears your uninformed expectations are causing you to have your feelings - there are other servers out there with lots of P2W and weird/different takes on "classic", this isn't it.

The people calling the changes to Deadmines and Wailing Caverns "tweeks" have obviously never set foot in them. They have been entirely rebuilt.

Speaking of. As an Alliance character where do you get the WC quests? In Turtle they were all in Darkshore.

I also tried this and didnt notice any difference from the client. Others I trust the opinion of swear to me its life changing.

Honestly I burnt out after a year+ classic grind of herb looping every raid week but this seems to be off to a good start.

For serious raiders, check my guys out in <Nice Chair> on Alliance. Tell em Druce sent ya.

I did WC. When I say "tweaks" I say that as in it still feels like you are playing WoW Classic and not a different game entirely.

My last recollection is retail classic where it was a raid so my memory may be somewhat skewed from that. I recall a new boss and a new quest but admittedly can't remember the "OG" WC well enough to compare one to one. We were pretty high level for it, and it still took a while to complete so I may be forgetting other changes.

I'm only 25 and most of the changes listed for Kalimdor / EK are above that level seemingly - Eastern Kingdoms

EDIT: too early misspoke and said wc was a raid but only ran WC like once leveling up then

There is a new dm quest for horde in crossroads, has some very nice rewards, and with meeting stones being useable to summon it's easy to get there
