I've owned 4 of the Razer Nagas now. The first two started having double clicking issues within the first 9 months to a year of use. My most recent lasted almost three years before it became nearly unusable (because of the same double click issue). With that one I was able to get a couple more months out of it by applying contact cleaner directly to the clicker inside the mouse.
Now Razer has a less expensive 2014 model. It came in today and I LOVE it. The size is much bigger than the previous iteration, and it's a little heavier, but if you've got a huge paw you'll find this new model fits very comfortably (remember the old Intellimouse? ya, that big). They moved mouse buttons 4 and 5 to be right below the scroll wheel/mouse 3. They made the mouse slightly more ergonomical, bringing the side buttons in slightly and widening the left and right click areas. The lights are green instead of blue (there might've been green models before, but all of my previous Naga's were blue).
The 12 side buttons are about the same, perhaps slightly more sensitive. Allegedly they redesigned the "clickers" to address the issue of the mouse eventually doing the double clicking that every Razer mouse user eventually experiences. Since the mouse isn't a year old yet, only time will tell if they actually succeeded or if it's just PR spin.
Anyone else tried the new mouse?
