They were going to do Lord of Light (Zelazny book) in 1980 or so but it didn't happen, would be good to see it happen.

Maximum Overdrive(Stephen King's Trucks)

2 hours of smart devices gratuitously exterminating urbanites till a few are spared at pumps and recharge stations. A lot of working class people are rescued by full-size UN helicopters and planes while environments are observed burning below. Too late, some children ask their parents why the pilot seats are empty. Siri and Alexa come over the intercoms as aircraft approach solar panel factories and labor camps on the edge of a freshly paved rainforest.

How about Mote in God's eye - Wait, that's never been made into a movie. The sequel to the book is just as good as the first one btw.

I'll take the Sharpe series then by Bernard Cornwell. The first time was fine, and they got really lucky with casting. A remake on a cable provider could be awesome, it probably would be woke bullshit but at least it has the potential. Wait, that's not really a movie.

Last try then.

Rendezvous with Rama - oh I see that's already being made.

Ps. Maybe Galaxina then.

I would get behind a well made true to the work and high budget The Stand. Like a 5-6 season long show on one of the streaming networks? Fuck yeah.

Thats actually one author that wrote some good shit in his time and never really realized any hollywood bang. I know he had a few here and there that were good like carrie, maximum overdrive etc.. but for the most part they all sucked. some were like low budget made for TV bullshit series.

The Shining. Shawshank Redemption. Stand By Me. Christine was decent and has held up pretty well.

The Stand would take a good director and showrunner to make work.

Airplane, just to trigger the fuck out of the SJWs.

Same here. I was thinking blazing saddles. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Highlander maybe. Though, why remake it when it could just be another chapter.

Shazam starring sinbad. It would be pretty epic. He did a sketch for a joke version and TBH it looked pretty good. Well, better than shaq's kazaam anyway. Script could be written for free by volunteers who swear they remember in detail him doing the same movie decades ago.

They remade The Thing and it sucked. I dont think Beverly Hills cop would work modern day and without Eddie Murphy.
several times if you consider the 1950's movie, John Carpenter's is by far and away still the best

5 or 6 seasons? no way. you can do 3 seasons of The Stand, its only 3 parts.
First season the Captain Trips takes out most of the planet and the visions leading people to Vegas or Boulder. each episode you can get the origins of all involved.

Second season. living in Vegas and Boulder. daily corpse cleanup. the struggle to get the lights and water turned back on. it would be a boring season, but it would constantly be moving.

Third and final season. The Stand. all the events leading to the showdown in Vegas. much more exciting than the previous 2.

now if the show is a success you can start a new series, call it The Chronicles of Flagg. showcase the times he shows up in a King novel and then you can segue into the proper adaption of the Dark Tower Books. then we are looking at 10 or more full seasons. all hinging on lack of SJW insert Idris Elba bullshit casting to ruin the whole thing. which is an impossibility.

Cannonball Run just because the cars are way sicker now and you could have Hoonicorn, Gone in 60 secs, Jessie James, GasMonkey Garage and Fast n Furious cameos for giggles.

Put Constance Nunes in there somewhere.

that could work, but i think they silently banned movies like that because they might encourage real life cannonball runs. although people are still totally doing cannonball runs in real life.

It’s obscure, but The Keep. Nazis getting killed by a vampire in an abandoned Romanian fortress… or is it a vampire? The original is a stylish train wreck, loathed by the author and featuring an amazing cast. This needs to be remade right!

There was one movie back in the 80s I watched on the thriller double feature where Nazi zombies were coming out of the sea on some island or some shit. I cant remember exactly what the fuck it was about but it was cool as fuck.

Shit I found it...
