I don't remember what thread I detailed it in... But I have a Frankenchair which laughs at time. I found a great chair in terms of cushion/support and now just keep replacing parts on it as needed (casters, gas tube, seat covers and covers for the arm rests)

It was a Serta chair with legit individual spring coil ass cushion and memory foam... glorious. The chair itself easily pre-dates covid by a good bit.

Aeron really is the cream of the crop. SL is good and great build quality, but it doesn't touch the asscloud you get with Aeron. Wise choice!

I have an aeron I bought in 2010... looks perfect. Super durable and very comfortable. 100%.
