Rian Johnson destroyed the current trilogy. JJ just gets to poke it's corpse with a stick. The franchise will never be destroyed because the nostalgia factor is too powerful.

They should time travel back, kill off the founding members of the FO, find and kill Snoke and then instead of the FO Imperial Remnants and the council of moffs from Legends is formed, teach young Kylo to be a gud boi and shit and not turn to the dark side.

It has been stated a few times throughout that the force can have powers to see the future and past etc. so its not a stretch to say the force can then be used to manipulate time... heck Vader is 100% a result of "seeing" the future and trying to change/prevent it (but then cause it?) - so to say "time travel" is not in SW is kinda not accurate.

There was time travel in the legends universe during the Yuzhong Vong era. IIRC, the youngest solo kid learned to force walk or something and go back in time. Doubt they're going to bring that shit back.

You know what else is "cannon"? Force baby immamculater conceptions, mother*ucker, that's what! Chris Terrio and J.J. is all up in here writing this thang. Did you even *see* the Last Jedi, Hyperspace Kamikaze? All "cannon" now. We can only hope, and will most likely not be narratively saved. "Cannon" won't save us at all.

One of the movie's editors was cutting it together while it was being shot.
They're reshooting up until release date. Not good.
JJ said it was too rushed of a schedule, too fast. If he's speaking out-- its a problem.

reshoots this late means usually one thing. their private test screenings went BAD. like REALLY BAD and they got word from on high to do something , anything NOW. they dont even have an offical trailer yet and the big summer blockbusters are about done. they are in a panic at this point.Literally.
