Unlike previous sales, I actually plan to play these two games so it's a win for me.

Ended up getting the Chivalry expac, Witcher 2 EE, and Saints Row 4. $17 all in all isn't bad.

Problem with comparing it to PSN and XBox directly is in my experience most people leave Steam running 24/7 even when they're not around, same doesn't go for consoles.

PC version is an extremely shitty port based off the PS3 version instead of PS4, unless they've done a miracle patch since release. Also, there's no online MP, if you care about that.

I think I have a problem. Though at least 1/3 of the unplayed games are old games that I already played a bought just because they were cheap and I wouldn't have to track down the CDs if I wanted to play them again. I had intended to limit myself to $50 this sale, but ended up spending $88.

you sure? most consoles just go into standby mode these days, unless you forcefully power then down/unplug.

dunno about xbox but i've tested with friends on PS4/vita, when your consoles go into standby mode you are considered offline. so yeah the steam numbers are inflated from people who are logged in 24x7 but any way you slice it its a ton of people gaming on the PC nowadays, especially with Lol/DOTA/DayZ/Hearthstone/etc.
