oscillations.

The cables were threatening to destabilize the helicopter, so he aborted? What else would be oscillating?

It does seem a little odd with how much engineering has gone into their project that they wouldn't have put a measure in place for that potential. a "what if we have to drop it, for whatever reason, before we get altitude" scenario. But I guess you literally can't plan for -everything-.

I bet they have a plan in place for it now.

A lot of good info in this video.

- SN3 stacking progress
- Dragon XL to service the lunar gateway
- Bigelow, RIP? Laid everyone off due to funding issues :(
- Starlink booster anomaly

Here's Dragon XL, it would be launched in a fairing from a Falcon Heavy.

Yeah, Scott Manley is great, I didn't go in search of his video about that since I saw him kinda work through the design via a series of Tweets, lol.

And yeah, I was clicking around and the video I posted was a recommendation, I thought it was going to be the more cringey guy who does SpaceX updates.

A month ago we were all laughing at the nutty dude who fired himself off in a rocket and died.
A month later he may have been the smartest man alive to try get off this nutty rock.

He used a steam rocket with a faulty parachute. I suppose that's one way to avoid coronachan.
