Considering everything else they've done recently is to lock stuff down I imagine this will be no different. What's the pirate / media center capabilities for this new box? Does it have an internal disk one can fill with shows and stuff like the PS3? It would be sweet if I could access the file system remotely, fill up the hdd![]()
Over reacting.Who is loyal to anything here? This conference was shitty as fuck and I'm saying so. I have all the current consoles (ok I'm not counting the WiiU) including all the hand helds. I don't give a fuck about brand loyalty.
We include sales tax in our prices here in the UK, so, excluding VAT, it'd come to ?320, which is around $485usd. Since American companies like to round up when they bring their goods over the pond, I'd imagine it'd be around $400-450 in the US.No fucking way does this shit launch at $600.
Valve wins at PC gaming specifically, microsoft can't unseat them, all they can hope to do is launch something like origin and hope enough people cave to their exclusive games, But no one would buy a game on origin if they could get it on steam at this point. Assuming Valve doesn't screw the pooch, the backend on the games side of things is already set.I really dislike the new Microsoft. If you think they aren't going to try and lock down PC gaming next you're fucking deluding yourselves. Considering everything else they've done recently is to lock stuff down I imagine this will be no different.
They are doing it because why talk about the things we all know it can do. Play games.Microsoft always does this shit bro. They love talking about non game features because they want to be an all-in-one media box, not a game console. Fortunately, it still plays games and I expect at least a couple cool things from E3. Good thing about the new consoles is that E3 might not be totally fucking boring this year.
I don't know anyone who bought into CELL. The spec leaks on the other hand have been spot on and they have the Xbone's GPU unit, which is basically the same one that the PS4 uses, being significantly less powerful. 18 compute units on the PS4's version Vs. 12 on the Xbone's. Other than that they use an identical CPU, but the Xbone has significantly slower and worse RAM that isn't as accessible (and the PS4 has some very custom bus work which makes its ram even better)."probably"... "chances are" ...
We all remember how much more powerful the cell processor was supposed to be, right?
