Who is loyal to anything here? This conference was shitty as fuck and I'm saying so. I have all the current consoles (ok I'm not counting the WiiU) including all the hand helds. I don't give a fuck about brand loyalty.

What's the pirate / media center capabilities for this new box? Does it have an internal disk one can fill with shows and stuff like the PS3? It would be sweet if I could access the file system remotely, fill up the hdd

I've never been keen on kinect and I assume its required this go around. The used game thing, sure you don't require an always on connection, ok then how do you know if the game is used or not? Not going to check once its flagged? The hacking community is going to have a field day. No way that is true.

Tv? I really don't want or need a combined device for my TV. My DVR from Diretv works just fine. Just what I need is to add delay by hooking my xbox up as a pass through for the privileged of Microsoft selling my watching habits. Yeah. Movies? My NAS fills that role well with my TV.

I'll likely pass on the new xbox despite buying the first and the 360. If I get something it will be the PS4. I really dislike the new Microsoft. If you think they aren't going to try and lock down PC gaming next you're fucking deluding yourselves.

Considering everything else they've done recently is to lock stuff down I imagine this will be no different.

No fucking way does this shit launch at $600.
We include sales tax in our prices here in the UK, so, excluding VAT, it'd come to ?320, which is around $485usd. Since American companies like to round up when they bring their goods over the pond, I'd imagine it'd be around $400-450 in the US.

I guess I'd like to add - there is no way this thing will sell if it launches for ?399 in the UK. The PS3 launched at ?425 here and it struggled for sales. The retailers had day one bundles with free games, free blu-rays, and free controllers because the preorders numbers were so bad. I can't see things being any different with the Xbox One.

Dunno, figured they'd pull something out of their ass that made me interested. Like they pulled back the date to beef up the specs they didn't talk about, or Illumiroom, or something. Not wait 35 minutes to show canned CGI of couple games then go back to talking about TV. It played out as expected and that's pretty weak.

Valve wins at PC gaming specifically, microsoft can't unseat them, all they can hope to do is launch something like origin and hope enough people cave to their exclusive games, But no one would buy a game on origin if they could get it on steam at this point. Assuming Valve doesn't screw the pooch, the backend on the games side of things is already set.

The most entertaining thing from these "press conferences" is watching the diehards from each side go at each other on the internet.

Microsoft always does this shit bro. They love talking about non game features because they want to be an all-in-one media box, not a game console. Fortunately, it still plays games and I expect at least a couple cool things from E3. Good thing about the new consoles is that E3 might not be totally fucking boring this year.

The X1 literally does everything that the PS4 does and more, and people are calling it a dud? I just don't get it. Everything other than exclusive IP's considered, the X1 seems like a more sophisticated system. The entire Sony presentation was a social media circle jerk and they kept hyping that your games would pick up exactly where they left off. The X1 does the same shit, they just didn't focus on that stuff during the presentation because it was probably expected of them.

I can understand supporting a PS4 if all you care about is exclusives, but I don't understand anyone actually claiming it's going to be a bettersystem. The only thing I can think of that the PS4 will have is remote play through the Vita, but how many of us actually own Vitas?

They are doing it because why talk about the things we all know it can do. Play games.

What has PS4 come out with other than play games and has an even worse controller than it did before?

The PS4 isprobablygoing to be a better system because, chances are, it's going to be a good bit more powerful. Better ram with amassivelybetter bus and customization and access to more of it (games are capped at 5gb on the Xbone) andverylikely a beefier GPU if the leaks about it prove to be true like the others have, plus it probably won't be as bogged down by as much shit as the Xbone.

So, Microsoft is going to have to wow the absolute fuck out of me with their exclusives at E3 since there's no way that I am buying an inferior system with theircurrentfirst party offerings.

"probably"... "chances are" ...

We all remember how much more powerful the cell processor was supposed to be, right?

XBOX Live right now makes the Xbox a no brainer for me over the PS4 any day, twice on Sunday no matter what the specs. The controller? That also.

Do you really think one of the two will be miles better at graphics than the other? Wasn't the PS3 better hardware also and it failed miserably because, well because Sony.

Hmm wasn't sean a huge xbox fanboy before? Now its like doctor jekyll and mr hyde. So amusing, especially when there are no benchmarks or any other data to make a good comparison, but keep on advertising Sean.

Eh I will probably end up with both eventually, like I have with every generation.

I don't know anyone who bought into CELL. The spec leaks on the other hand have been spot on and they have the Xbone's GPU unit, which is basically the same one that the PS4 uses, being significantly less powerful. 18 compute units on the PS4's version Vs. 12 on the Xbone's. Other than that they use an identical CPU, but the Xbone has significantly slower and worse RAM that isn't as accessible (and the PS4 has some very custom bus work which makes its ram even better).

Plus the Xbone is going to run 3 OS's at once and if you think MS can pull that off without bloat then you are more of an optimistic than I could ever possibly be.
