if I'm a manufacturer, i wouldnt care about 0.0001 of the population and the 0.0001 of the time they are in their fucked up little life scenarios to stamp out piracy wholesale and make torrent sites and sites likehttp://www.xbox360iso.com/obsolete. As a business decision that's a no brainer.I do a lot of different work all across the board and the reason I happen to have to travel out to the sticks for the past five years was to take care of a very sick relative who just recently passed away. Now I have to travel out there to take care of the estate and figure out if I want to sell it or not, as well as to do some audio engineering work which makes the peaceful getaway an ideal place to get that kind of mentally intensive work done. Several other reasons. Point is, it happens a lot and even though it's less than before in the past couple of years - it's still an issue and it's more than 4 months a year. At a time. So it's a relatively good point in my opinion.
You're telling me to go get some fresh air but bro, I doubt you could last 4 months solid while having absolutely nothing around for an hour and having no sort of social interaction (because there are no people here I can socially relate to anyway) because it's a state park area. I own 15ish to 20ish acres of land outside of the estate and I am constantly outside, either hunting with my foxhound pup or fishing near the levee and decent bodies of water around. I get outside, but it gets old fucking quick man. That console is a fucking saint. That and a bottle of whiskey will save my sanity every so often.
Daezuel - "This is their new slogan. Introducing the new Xbox One, go get some fresh air!"
fucking lol.
I missed this truly retarded post when you changed your tone and point a bit.
one guy is bitching that he cant play video games when he is on a business trip, in the boonies, hauling his xbox around. thats what, like fucking 0.0001 of the population doing it 0.001 of the time?
Uh, no. Look motherfucker. First of all I was completely rational when I even said I realize it doesn't revolve around me and my crazy unique scenario, but THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE. Second of all, it's more than a business trip - this is embedded into my lifestyle for months at a time. No shit I'm not a main portion of the gaming population with this problem, but I already addressed that point. Secondly, you mean to tell me you wouldn't care to play some video games in a 5 month span with nothing else to do? Stop talking right now because you know you're full of shit if you say you wouldn't give a fuck in the slightest. Maybe you can deal with the situation and embrace it, guess what? So can I, I'm a fucking adult and can appreciate a lot more in life than pixels and digital entertainment but that does not mean I should sacrifice it like a fucking scrub when it's completely needless to do so, so fuck off.
Oh, and on top of that I already added that I wouldn't mind in the least and I agree that the always on-line thing could be a cool feature if it simply fit into my current lifestyle. It doesn't. So far I have made zero complaints against what they are doing and giving no irrational or 'faux rage' towards anything they're doing. It's simply shitty that I have to give up my console of choice because of some of the new features. That's all I was saying.
Why would anyone steal your copy of FFIIIIIIII?I stopped loaning out games in 1999 after someone stole my copy of FFVIII.
For piracy a once-ever or once-month check would be just as valid as a daily one. Look at your copy of windows your machine is running, it checks the key once over the internet ever then it's done besides maybe some silent ones in the background at times that never lock you out of using your paid for content.CD checks can be easily bypassed. The internet requirement is clearly there to combat piracy. If anything, CD checks were dreadfully broken for them.
Then go on patrol with a sword and shield instead of a M4Ya well some of us pay ff6 over cod
That might be a valid comparison if you played the exact same game all the time, every time for yearsFor piracy a once-ever or once-month check would be just as valid as a daily one. To be fair, I don't think you want to be dragging a 30 lb monster-sized X-1 in those cases even barring connection issues in those situations anyway though. (Well, except maybe to double as extra body armor if you get shot from that side)Ya well contracting into a safe area is a bit diiference to getting stuck in a brand new shit hoke
As I said, perhaps a once a month check would make more sense (although I don't see frequency of use being an issue - steam validates once as well for games I might only play once a year) - but daily checks don't make any sense whatsoever. That might be a valid comparison if you played the exact same game all the time, every time for years
Ah, didn't realize FOB type situations got mail service for large packages - with this day and age of warfare that can't be fun dragging big packages into areas like that.To be fair they we get them as gift packages 9/10 times from kind hearted people
I was SATCOM bro, the only reason I went out the wire is a dish being shot up and me needing to replace it.Some of us deploy as atc and not a_skeleton_03s
Yawn. No shit. Even I agree with this and have since my first post.if I'm a manufacturer, i wouldnt care about 0.0001 of the population and the 0.0001 of the time they are in their fucked up little life scenarios to stamp out piracy wholesale and make torrent sites and sites likehttp://www.xbox360iso.com/obsolete. I used to repair 360's in Iraq. I would put them on the roof for a day to melt in the solder. Charged $50 per.Ah, didn't realize FOB type situations got mail service for large packages - with this day and age of warfare that can't be fun dragging big packages into areas like that.
The EyeToy was a $30 accessory by itself and it was bundled for $40ish with EyeToy: Play. They sold more than 10 millions EyeToy cameras in the world. Cost and attach rate were not an issue. The tech was obviously a lot more rudimentary than today's Kinect, but it was possible to work around the limitations by being a little bit creative. The point is the tech is fine. The games aren't there because why build a game only 1/4 of the users will play because they aren't going to buy a $200 accessory for. If you make it included in the system though ...
I didnt see you offer solutions, just continuous detailed explanations about your life situations about how it wouldnt work for you. Well, no shit.Yawn. No shit. Even I agree with this and have since my first post.
Clearly there is nothing I can discuss with you that can remain relevant to this subject and somehow try to reason that there could be a middle ground in terms of a solution and what that would be. Can't say I didn't try. This is retarded, moving on.
