Let's see, Kraft who is probably going to die soon, or 31 other owners who want justice. Goodell got it right for a change!

Pat's said they would accept whatever punishment was laid down. I assume they thought the NFL wouldn't get too crazy though.

Brady comes back week 5 for game vs Indy.

Pats 64 Indy 0
Only due to so much cheating!

Pretty stiff penalty. Brady should have just knocked Gisele the fuck out, then cooperated when the Commissioner calls him into the office; he'd have gotten less games.

The NFL also indefinitely suspended the two equipment staffers believed to have carried out the plan, including one who called himself "The Deflator."
And here we all thought the Pats were pros at cheating, but apparently they trusted this mastermind plan to some dumb-fuck calling himself "The Deflator." Holy lol.

My only hope from here is Brady's lawyer/agent drags this out as long and nastily as possible, because I don't think I can go on another day without this story dominating the news.

I think its Brady's choice to appeal his personal suspension though. Most of the time there's going to be a reduction.

Yeah, Pats will probably take the fine and draft picks without a fight, because it would make Kraft look bad to fight it. Brady will definitely appeal the games, though.

Could someone smarter than me run-down all the ways the Pats have cheated under Brady/Belichick?

I know they've plowed the field for field goals a year before it was prohibited. And with Spygate, the rule was changed you couldn't take video of the other team from the field, and had to do it from the boxes, and the Pats the first game were still taping from the field. And now the deflated footballs in the first half vs the Colts. Am I missing anything? Aside from Brady being so damned good looking it's obvious he's somehow cheating time #amiriteladies?!

Oh, yeah, there was the blatant cheating with the fucking Tuck Rule against my Raiders! Fucking cheaters, considering the history, I hope the league increases the suspension during the appeal! He's still hindering and detrimenting the league!

Thankfully, it doesn't matter, because this is finally the year the Raiders are back, baby!

I mean, unless they actually weren't systemically cheating....

Honestly I think the Bills could. Or Dolphins. Or Patriots. Don't think the Jets can though, but they'll definitely beat some 'good' teams.

Yeah, the it was just the first half against the Colts. It definitely wasn't for years like all the evidence says

Exactly. of course it didn't change anything in outcomes because there wasn't an incredibly close game the week before that could have only been won with some soft balls. Nothing like that happened at all....

There's no way that punishment will stand as is. My guess...fine reduced to 500k, they'll lose some draft pick no one gives a fuck about ([email protected]/* <![CDATA[ */!function(t,e,r,n,c,a,p){try{t=document.currentScript||function(){for(t=document.getElementsByTagName('script'),e=t.length;e--;)if(t[e].getAttribute('data-cfhash'))return t[e]}();if(t&&(c=t.previousSibling:emoji_nose:{p=t.parentNode;if(a=c.getAttribute('data-cfemail':emoji_nose:{for(e='',r='0x'+a.substr(0,2)|0,n=2;a.length-n;n+=2)e+='%'+('0'+('0x'+a.substr(n,2)^r).toString(16:emoji_nose:.slice(-2);p.replaceChild(document.createTextNode(decodeURIComponent(e:emoji_nose:,c)}p.removeChild(t)}}catch(u){}}()/* ]]> */round 2016...really?), and maybe suspended 1 or 2 games tops. Patriots organization are probably the most pissed about the draft picks and a ban for a big chunk of the season is pretty horseshit.

Peter King actually had a good article that pointed out the article laid out a bunch of science and totally ignored it, because the science in the Wells Report showed the footballs could have legit been in that approximate range they were measured at.

I had to bite my tongue at work. Some Jets fans were all happy at the punishment. It was adorable, thinking their team will stop sucking ass because of this lol

Hard to tell what you're trying to say here, but it seems like you're saying the Wells Report said there were non-cheating reasons the footballs could have been as low as they were? Because that's the exact opposite of what the Wells Report said.

I also don't get why everyone thinks the punishment will be lowered on appeal for no reason.

Jets will still suck, though

One of the terrible systems in the NFL is they over-punish knowing players will appeal and often get the punishment reduced. It's kinda a good will thing to show the NFL is still for the players.
