Big Jerr won Nfl executive of the year. Yup, we now live in a world where that is a thing.
At least he has something to put on the mantle this year. I would be more proud of that than the NFC East title, honestly.

He has the same will as Favre and will likely go out the same way, one season too late and broken to shit. He will likely come back just to claim the last few records he lacks and get knocked the fuck out towards the end of the season. Denver fans, take a good look at the last 5-6 years of the Vikings team because that is your future.

The mistake Favre made, and Peyton repeated, is not letting the backup guy in when the game was sealed. Staying in until the final kneel down in those blowouts is exactly why neither man was at their best at the end of their final seasons.

Yeah, if only they'd played smarter they might have won Super Bowls, multiple MVPs, and played until they were 40.

Don't be a Column. You know what I am talking about. If Pey Pey is rolling a fucking losing team by 3 scores in the 3rd Qtr, there is no fucking reason he needs to be in there at risk. Favre (my mancrush in football) did the same stupid thing and it contributed to him running out of gas down the stretch his last few seasons. Piling up stats is nice, but I bet both men would trade them for another ring in their collection.

No, you are pushing a negative bias toward a player as a reasoning for the normal effects of aging and playing a bazillion professional football games. The idea that playing some mop up duty(which almost all QBs do even when the game is out of reach, coaches are stupid) somehow is the reason their bodies fell apart around age 40 is completely asinine. It's much more likely they're just fucking old and beat up because when you play football for 20 years you become old and beaten up.

This isn't Lebron looking at slowing down at 30 because he's played top ten minutes for a career already due to playing 82 games and coaches who are dumbasses. These are old QBs looking like old QBs at the appropriate times.

Rodgers and Brady don't play in mop up, even when healthy. At that age a guy has to know his limits and pace himself if he is going to play 19 games in the season.

Are any of those guys aside from White in the HOF? Butler deserves to be but isn't. And the packers weren't even the best D in our own division back then. Are you even a Miners fan? If you were you'd recall our D getting burnt repeatedly by your team with Young or the Cowboys. Just ask any Packer fan about the Rams game or 4th and 26....
So defenses have to be loaded with HOF players to be memorable? The 49ers Ds of the 80s were some of the best in the league, only sent 2 players to the HOF, and only really Ronnie Lott is remembered from them. The 2000 Ravens are one of the top 5 defenses of all time and only really Ray Lewis is remembered from it. Just because only 1-2 players make the HOF from an "all-time" defense, doesn't mean that defense wasn't stacked with some of the leagues best players at the time.

Your team only got burnt by Youngonce, in the "Catch II" game, so your memory is foggy on how often you lost to us by us recently having your number. Favre beat the fuck out of the 49ers in the 90s. Why the hell do you think I still hate you fuckers so goddamn much?

Brady's backup had 10 attempted passes this year, until midway through game 16. And Brady played the entire first halfd of that game after already having the AFC #1 seed locked up..... Hes actually pretty famous for NEVER sitting.

You're a lot more likely to stand out as a great defender on a below average to average defense than a stacked one.

Actually from what I have heard one of the big factors he is considering is that he doesn't want to go out all busted and playing bad because he is concerned about his image, most specifically in relation to his ability to continue to generate revenue from doing commercials and what not. His personal marketing team may have just as big of an impact on his decision as anything.
