Probably the most amusing thing out of this is reporters attempting to get Belichick to comment about it. They've been trying to crack that egg for 16 years and they still haven't learned.

They have to ask I guess, but it's funny to hear non-beat reporters show up to a BB presser. They are the ones that are confused why he won't answer.

He didnt have any communication with Mcnally or Jazstremski from September to February.Except 3 texts to Jazs in February.

What content exists if they never communicated?

"We compiled all of Tom's personal cell phone billing records from his vendor from September through the end of February 2015," Yee told Curran. "The records detail every incoming and outgoing phone call. Every incoming and outgoing text. We submitted that to the commissioner. They would then be able to determine were there any other communications with Patriots personnel that were not outlined in the Wells Report. Everything matched up perfectly with the Wells Report with the exception of three texts between Tom and (John) Jastrzemski on February 7, and that was only because Wells had given Jastrzemski's phone back (on) February 7. As far as any texts prior to the AFC Championship Game, where any alleged scheming would have taken place, Ted Wells would have had any communications between Tom, Jastrzemski and (Jim) McNally. This personal phone billing record compiled by an independent third party shows that he had no communications at all with McNally."
Nice reading comprehension. There are 3 text messagesthat weren't accounted forin the records given to the NFL. He had 12 text messages to Jastremski the day after the AFC championship game alone.

Do you actually know anything?

They had jastremskis phone though. That's where the deflator texts came from. Which means they already had access to the content of those texts between him and brady.

So when you said he had no communication with Jastremski or Mcnally, you meant he had no communication with Mcnally or Mcnally?

Honestly, this one's on me for engaging you.

I find it interesting that you said yourself he didn't have any text communication with either of them since Sept. but then had 12 text messages to Jastremski the day after the title game (after the story broke). 12 + 3 messages to Jastremski when they had never texted to each other previously = shady. Calling Jastremski into his 'office' when that's never happened before = shady. Getting rid of the actual phone right before he's about to talk to investigators = shady.

Even after all that, his owner caves in and actually accepts the penalty to the organization. If you truly believe nobody in your organization did anything wrong and feel strongly about it, why would you ever agree to it, especially as it concerns a 1st round draft pick. Kraft isn't an idiot, he's not going to make any sort of deal without assurances it's not going to bite him in the ass later.

Can't find a link but the case won't be heard in Minnesota, it'll be Manhattan.
NFL beat the NFLPA to the punch. Cases are almost universally heard in the place they are first filed. Instances of it happening in the place not first filed are rarer than a sober Brad McQuaid.

The NFL was also looking for texts related to deflating the footballs that weren't to Jastremski or Mcnally. When Brady* "turned over the records" he just gave them a list of over 10,000 texts and said "lol good luck".

So they had nothing indicating brady knew. And were basically going fishing in his personal phone? And when he made records available so they could pursue anyone he spoke with, the nfl said "nah".

"In an effort to be even more transparent, we decided to offer to the commissioner to disclose the identities of everyone that Tom communicated with. We said that some of these individuals are NFL-related personnel and that the commissioner has the power to compel a search of their phone
I like the part where they acknowledge the league has the right to compel a search of the phones of NFL related personnel. Can we drop that argument now?

Am I allowed to think that basically everyone involved in this on every side fucked up? And thatevery fan commenting on this is going over the top, be it calling brady a saint or some Machiavellian super villain... or does that make me a Boston homer?
What? Now YOU'RE being over the top!

Except for all those texts that indicated he know and was behind it? You're about as informed as Azeth. The NFL also can't compel random people to turn over text messages when there's no indication they are involved outside of sending/receiving a text message from Brady* during a 6 month period. That makes the list completely useless.

The fact that he also lied about why the phone was destroyed should be another red flag.

How oblivious are you? 1/2 of the 28 NFL employees in his call logs have league cell phones. The NFL can confiscate them whenever they wish. And they chose not to.

Ambiturner,

I'm glad you are here as a primary voice of reason. The argument against the Pats is a 243 page report that Pats homer have never read. It is also Brady destroying possible evidence, the fact that balls were found to be deflated, a 'deflator' being employed by Kraft, the fact that Brady has admitted he loves handling soft balls, and the evidence of a substantial TO differential for the Patriots compared to 31 other teams who dont use deflated balls.

The Pats homer argument is whatever homer ESPN analysts said that morning, Bob Kraft' statements, or the statements of a cheater and his lawyer. No bias there lol! "The Patriots have never cheated, we have always played by the rules, and we would never use unfair advantages except for that other time we did it."

Azeth, could you please explain why Brady refused to give allow a review of the phone he used from Nov-March? He says it's because he did it to protect his fellow players and didn't want to set a precedent, but then how come he allowed them to search the phone he had used prior? And if he always has his old phones destroyed, why was that one still around? It's also worth noting that it appears he offered to let them search his new phone as well and it was just that one between Nov-Mar he was "taking a stand" on.

I'll wait here while you go to some Boston homer site and get your talking points.
