It was all a vast conspiracy. First the Pats got him to coach so they could get insight on the Jets. Then he was "fired" and given a large secret severance package with the instructions to eventually a find a job with an NFC club that had a winning potential. This long game finally came full circle last year when Carroll threw the SB for his Patriot overlords. Despicable.
