yeah. Have to specify by media, and even then its not quite a good comparison.
Its silly to say starwars IP vs TES IP.
I mean lets use another example.
Twilight as a franchise versus starwars.
A Twilight movie, a twilight book and a Twilight video game.
Vs.
A starwars movie, book and video game.
Starwars is a bit stronger movie franchise (after episode 3.)
Twilight books will outsell starwars books though. (uh.. probably, i dont actually have any idea how well starwars books sell... and if you count comics and shit, really the volume of starwars material might be so high, its profit is higher, and thus value as a franchise...)
Starwars video games will outsell twilight games by a large margin.
Starwars as a whole is much larger of course. But TES as a singular game series is stronger.
Starwars does not have a singular series. If rogue squadron, jedi knight, xwing/tie fighter, lego, etc were built as singular brand-able franchises it might be a discussion. but starwars does not have a singular "flagship" game series. like a final fantasy, mario, zelda, etc.
But this also works against TES. TESonline is a spinoff. NOT part of the main series. suggesting it will sell the same as Skyrim is absurd. TES6 will sell as well as skyrim. This spinoff, won't.
