I kinda of expect at least half the people I meet online claiming to be women to be men. I also expect a good portion of what people post to be exaggerated bullshit or outright lies. It goes with the territory.
Uh, you mean like any guild in any game? Agree with the rest of your post though. Also, Furor had zero to do with any of the current goings on.Now, another thought I had, is how fucked up is Furor? Look at the company that guy kept. Millie - dude pretending to be a chick, kept around because he was amusing until he was inconvenient. Brittney -- dude pretending to be a chick (kind of. And pretty badly. But still a mangina in game), kept around because he was amusing until he stepped over the line. What was Req's toon in EQ? Alloria? Another fucking mangina. Guy surrounded himself with males pretending to be females. Fucking weird. If there weren't so many pictures of Rav and her rescue, I'd be doubting that one too. And honestly, 1% of me still does, just to be safe.
thisI look at internets like a man cave, where we all go to escape our bitch wives and crazy ass women girlfriends.
lol. Seriously? So in your guild if a tall person played a gnome were they taunted mercilessly until they rerolled as a barbarian, troll or orge? Who gives a crap what people play in game as long as they played it well.My guild was sure as shit not like that. Any male who played a female toon was taunted mercilessly until he rerolled. Our wives and GF's were the only ones allowed to play female characters.
It was different in EQ. WoW people understood playing female toons more, especially since vent exposed most people in raiding guilds and if you were a non talker you would probably be assumed to be a man. The mangina issue was much more prevalent in EQ and during that earlier era of the internet in general.lol. Seriously? Two healers and an enchanter right? I'm sure they could pretend to be alien hermaphrodite cat lizards on their own time as long as they were online and doing their shitty thankless jobs for whatever raid and spawn schedules were required to maintain server dominance. Now, another thought I had, is how fucked up is Furor? As someone who fell for the videogame mangina thing not once, but twice, I have to say that trusting the webz for that type of information is asking to be disappointed. I didn't think Evelys was a chick, I also didn't care wtf Evelys was or wasn't. I just want a stable home =|It was different in EQ. Surprised I haven't seen a "SHUT...DOWN...EVERYTHING" pictured based on this whole situationNot sure if you're reading this thread or not, but I appreciate the apology. What you did was wrong, hurtful and selfish. But I get that you were spooked and wanted to shut down everything. It's been a busy couple days but I think we're back to where we were when you absconded, so no permanent harm.
As far as I'm concerned you're welcome back to the forums, but I'd give it a few months. We didn't befriend a woman, we befriended a sports fan, an IT professional, a clever man and someone who cared about the community. When you're ready we'll be here.
we had lots of manginas in my guild. never was an issue. the issue were the RL females in the guild. all our guild drama revolved directly or indirectly around them. at least the manginas did their jobs and could be relied upon not to post a "thanks for the fun but its time i move on..." thread on the guild board because they didnt get the shiny that they wanted after a big mob clearing the previous night. It was different in EQ. Come now, don't be unfair. Heliterallymanned up.He, in no fucking way, manned up.
Well hello Mr Armchair QuarterbackAnotherthingyou guysdid wrong ...
The "You have 14 Days" joke was posted at least 5000 times on fohguild in the past month.Another thing you guys did wrong, you should have had a post titled:
14 DAYS!!!!
In such a post you could have told Req he had 14 days to fix the forums or the whole community is leaving.
It would have been a perfect ending.
Life is too damn short to sweat the small stuff. My guild was sure as shit not like that. Any male who played a female toon was taunted mercilessly until he rerolled. Our wives and GF's were the only ones allowed to play female characters.
