Magician, I grew up on Popeyes because I lived in New Orleans as a kid. Al Copeland who started Popeyes used to have his restaurants all over New Orleans. I've even been to the Super Popeyes that was somewhere downtown, and it was a buffet. It literally was Popeye dressed up as Superman and it was one of the most amazing culinary experiences I remember from my childhood.

When it was your birthday you used to get to pick where you wanted to go eat and I always said Copeland's. We had one of the locations right across the Harvey canal and it was one of the restrooms my parents used to always go to and I loved. We'd always get the popcorn crawfish appetizer because that was one of my favorite things, and I swear to God it's the same recipe that Popeyes uses. They're crab meat au gratin was also my other favorite apart from there cheeseburger.

They're seafood is excellent for fast food, but it really is contention upon the location you have. I know ours has cycled between wonderful and horrendous. I have one pretty close to the house here in the woodlands but I've been there in a while just because I don't eat a lot of fast food anymore, but every now and then we'll get a hankering for some chicken and go get a family meal and eat it over a couple of days.
