I was confused as fuck going into the short based on the description here... wtf... it was a mom missing her son, not that hard...

This before a kids movie, that to me of parents are bringing their kids to- thanks pixar!
I can't even understand the last sentence you wrote, how do you expect me to understand pixar shorts

Yeah my phone auto correct did something stupid.

"To me of" just needs to be deleted lol

But --- it was -- thanks pixar for reminding all of us parents bringing our little kids that are starting the detachment age (targeted age group of the movie) - that we all will have to let our kids go one day :( -- aka-- the message of the short.

Just got back from the movie. Liked it a lot, sure it needed to dwell on the parenting angle for a bit and those scenes did move slow. Still they were okay.

Gotta say though: Dem titties on Elastigirl - Damn!!

Plus I agree that short was kinda trippy.

The best short before a movie in my opinion, is the seagull one that ducks under the water like a crab. That one was great.

tits? To be honest, I didn't even notice. I was stuck on this too much.

She was getting "chubby secretary" ass and hips.

Just got back from seeing it. Was easy to figure out the villain literally 2 seconds after they introduced there was a villain, but it didn't detract from enjoying it. Would recommend. The mini actors intro at the start made me realize it had been 14 years since the first one came out, which seemed nuts because it didn't seem -that- long ago.

Short was funny...some woman in the back row exclaimed "jesus!!!" when she ate the dumpling kid, which got a laugh out of me.

You need to spin that message as "Do what I say or I will fucking eat you and make another child who listens to me"

some woman in the back row exclaimed "jesus!!!"
Black woman, right?

The old man is the only thing that confused me in the short. Looked way too old to be the daddy. I guess it could have been grand-dad.

That isn't so bad, the high 20 somethings behind us at a 10am matinee full of kids yelled out "what the fuck" got some angry mom stares whiile I held in my laugh.

The texture on Elastigirls tits in the black suit was probably the most over done CGI in the film. Didn't help that the camera seemed to zero in on them in every scene she was in.

Nah, the old guy is the dad. It's actually a fairly decent representation of a Chinese family (my wife is American Chinese, the dad really reminds me of her uncle right down to the way he sits and watches TV at dinner). The mom also captures how over-dramatic fobby Asian women can be.

Saw this on Monday with my kid. I thought both movies together make one really good single movie. The first movie showed how awesome Mr. Incredible and Dash were. The second movie really showed off Elastigirl and Violet. Even though there was a 14 year gap, they did such a fine job connecting them, I think they would be doing a disservice if they made anymore.

The line that killed me:

“How do you Un-Crush? What do you do if someone tells you to Un-Punch?!”

I was laughing pretty hard.

Saw this yesterday finally. I agree that it meshes well with the first movie into a two-part story of supers coming back into the light.

I like how this world seems to be perpetually in the 60s. Edna makes reference to specific dates in her 'No Capes' monologue in the first episode and yet there has been at least 15 years since that point meaning that this should be in the mid 70s at least yet everything is clearly 1967-68 at best. Then again there are also references to 'hacking the network' which is a very 21st century concept. The style is cool, however, so I'm willing to ignore it.

Biggest nitpick from my point of view is wondering why Agent Dicker didn't tell the Parrs about his encounter with Kary the babysitter and the revelation that Jack-Jack has powers.

As to 'Bao' -- anyone who didn't understand exactly what was going on and the nature of the metaphor is possibly retarded.

I found out the original VA who did Agent Dickers died during production, so I wouldn't be surprised if his limited role was in large part due to that

Elastigirl's thickness has been a meme for years, Shadman's a porn artist that is a meme, he's done a bunch of R34 stuff of her, etc.

Basically a meme clown car is in effect.

Elastigirl was the original THICC character, and after all of the Overwatch crap expect it after every animated movie.

Hey also, that house / mansion they moved into, felt & looked a lot like Jackie Treehorn's place.

Also used in the first Charlie's Angels movie.

The second movie was literally set within a minute of the first. At the end of the first you saw the start of the moleman attack.
