It was a quick scene and I don't slow shit to watch frame by frame.
My reasoning stands. From viewing posts on SM, I was not the only one confused at first and by the time I feel it is verified I have missed other important things being led astray.

Now I don’t really care about Sarah’s race swap since the actress did a great job and the character is the same, but they should have race swapped Marlene at the same time for the double switcheroo just to really fuck with the twitterbot outrage machine

This is the new Remake. Last of Us:Remastered is 20 bucks on the PS store, included in the higher tier of PS Plus, and can probably be found used for less than that.

Remastered is the visual update they did of the PS3 version for PS4
Remake is the complete remake done in the TLoU2 engine and only came out a few months ago.

Only real nod to the game that I remember is that in the game when they were driving through the town, it’s a car that plows into them and not a plane that causes them to crash. In the show they had the car coming exactly like it was in the game, but at the last second they avoided it instead.

Ellie actor is so weird looking it's distracting but otherwise A+

Went to the local used game store a few days ago and they had several copies of PS3 and PS4 Remastered for $8-10.

I didn't feel like replaying it but wanted to see the story again, so I found a good Let's Play with no annoying commentary:


He has the Left Behind DLC and Last of Us Part II also on his channel.

I didn't recognize Anna Torv at first. Granted it is makeup, but she looks 60 in this.

Ellie is a bit of a shit in the game too until she softens up after a while.

I’m sure after a few episodes I’ll get over how fucking weird her face looks.

Surprisingly good. Actress playing Sarah was great... Bella Ramsey kind of sucks though. Nothing new here, but that face is just too weird. Basically all the casting/acting was great other than fucking Ellie.
