@Izo? How do the Danes feel about this abomination?

Having the Little Mermaid end on a "happy ending" is and will always be a violation of the original. As are singing crabs. Don't think skin colour changes the metric here.

Posted this in a CRPG thread but it belongs here instead.

I've determined that there's a weird formula going on in The Entertainment Industry:

Step 1: Find an iconic female redhead character that's beloved by millions of people.
Step 2: Start re-making that property.
(The fanbase gets excited)
Step 3: Re-cast the iconic redhead as a black woman.
Step 4: Center the marketing around showing everyone that the iconic redhead has been replaced.
(The fanbase is a little off-put because one of their favorite characters now looks nothing like what they grew up with)
Step 5: Wait for all of the usual suspect websites to praise your remake for being diverse, and have your marketing department rail against the "racist backlash" forming online.
(The fanbase argues: Some about why they would rather see it be faithful to the character they grew up with, some about the importance of diversity in movies)
Step 6: Marketing machine reaches a fever pitch; articles everywhere online about how courageous the remake is and how it's going to be a hit, "shutting down" all the Racist Trolls.
(The fanbase just gets tired and goes "okay, sure", then fucks off)
Step 7: Release the remake to all kinds of "acclaim" from astroturfed sources: Website fluff pieces, etc. Bonus points if you can get Rottentomatoes to delete any negative reviews.
Step 8: Remake totally bombs at the box office and hardly anyone goes to see it. Makes 5-10 million, or maybe it loses money altogether.
Step 9: Have the producers go on Twitter and blame "toxic white men" and a "culture of racism" for the failure of the remake. Articles everywhere about how the movie failed because our society is racist and won't accept black women.
(No one cares anymore)
Step 10: Wait a month, then start over at Step 1.

This isn't just redhead characters. It's literally everything they make with an existing IP.

Yeah, the redhead was just used as an example. Could also use "white male superhero" and any number of other things. When I write things I write for Normie Palatability and I know people on the left don't give a shit whatsoever about white men being phased out of things. Attractive red-headed women, though? At least then they can pick up what you're putting down and process it a little better.

she kinda looks like a fish

Not gonna get out a ruler and figure it out, but I'm pretty sure the reason her face looks so...unnatural is that it doesn't follow the Golden Ratio AT ALL.

Ryan Gosling's face is likely textbook Golden Ratio.

Hers, though? Yeah, it's way off from the 'Ratio and that's what makes our brains have trouble being able to process it or enjoy looking at it.

I am waiting for the live action remake of BRAVE replace redhead with a nappy headed fat sheboon.

Putting aside the replacement of redheads and everything else... looked at in a vacuum, that trailer wasn't actually bad at all. It's mostly CGI, but it feels like they put some serious effort and funding into this, and I think it might actually be a good movie on its own merits.

Yeah, I think this might be a concerted effort specifically targeting redheads...

Do the Hollywood People have a vendetta against people of Neanderthal and/or Viking lineage over something?

Ive explained this before but it bears repeating.

Its not arbitrary. Redheads were symbolic. They symbolized a particular aspect of women -- exotic, other, but still familiar and hot. Red hair was a device used by authors to indicate that this girl is a little wild. A fiery temper. Passionate, with all that entails. The redhead in literature was always symbolic.

They are deliberately replacing that symbol -- and always specifically that symbol -- with a ghetto ass chick in dreadlocks, the kind of person we see every day in food court fighting videos.

Leftists whole philosophy is based on magical thinking and this is no exception. They think that by swapping ghetto chick in for every beautiful redhead character, they can somehow shell game the whole population. They think we'll just transfer all the symbolism of redheads onto black chicks. They think if boys grow up seeing black girls in these roles, they'll apply all those same assumptions to black girls and suddenly we'll have some mixed race utopia.

Of course its all futile because they ignore the obvious, but don't they always?
