I wouldn't mind a fresh perspective. Someone other than the Wachowskis working the same idea. I'd like to see Morpheus's team do their thing. We get introduced to them, but then everything gets weird because they found Neo, so while they clearly know what they're doing, we barely got to see them do what they're so good at.

Instead of humans covering the earth with crazy clouds of doom to counter fight the robots, couldn't we have instead built giant magnets and just fuck them up that way?! seems if we have the technology to create them, we should have the tech to counter fuck them just in case shit gets out of hand. Also, instead of the matrix that the robots built for humans, couldn't they just genetically transform humans so that when we are born we are just physically retarded and the only working part is our brain that is hooked up the matrix.

whatever this movie had potential, but the more you think about it, the more bullshit it becomes

The movies had issues, but I don't think these are them. The first is easily explained by human stupidity/arrogance while the second is because the machines weren't that sinister.

only agent smith hated humans. Humans may have thought the robots hate them, but really, they are doing it to preserve humanity.

It would have been a nice tidbit perhaps to assert the clouds of doom were not actually intentional or something. As it stands, really there is no way the clouds of doom are not worse for humans, then they are robots. Robots needed the sun for power? neat, cause humans need the sun for food, heat, breathing, etc. So a superweapon that went horribly wrong or something would make sense.

The whole harvesting humans thing is silly. There's no way it could be a net-positive energy flow if they can't get the sunlight. And if they could get that, they wouldn't need the humans.

The only way it could make sense is if they harvested existing humans until they ran out but I'm pretty sure the film shows children in the pods and talks of it as continued harvesting.

Thats what i mean! harvesting humans is such a hassle, why not just use umm solar energy! pretty sure if the AI could build a matrix that is an exact replica of our 2000`s era than they could solar plate the fuck outta earth, minus the pesky human batteries.

lol im digging too deep into this.

The machines should've just gotten smaller and more efficient when the sky died. Also, geothermal energy.

Just assume everything stupid was a lie or lost to history and forget the anime existed. It makes it go down easier.

If I was the machines, I would drench the earth, above and below, with nuclear waste. Then upload my conciousness into a single Raspberry Pi with lots of Kacey DP porn.

Yeah! Why didn't they make a massive solar panel that covered the entire surface area of the Earth to soak up all that sunlight that was coming through THE SKY THAT WAS BLACKENED AND DIDN'T ALLOW SUNLIGHT TO HIT THE EARTH ANY MORE.

Don't have to. It IS a lie, and we are expressly told so in 2 and 3. The whole 6 cycles of Zion/The One. And Morpheus is shown to be wrong, and his prophecy/etc is outright stated to be made up by the Oracle and Architect.

Part of this is then of course, just when we are told this. its in 2 and 3. so the first one by itself, stands as having some plot holes. We never find out the whole truth. but we do find out Morpheus has no idea what he's talking about.

yea it's all pretty much a lie that goes deeper and deeper inception style, even when they're out of the maxtrix, they're still in the maxtrix dreaming about being out of the matrix, it's the only way we explain Neo's Superpowers of being a human fucking EMP, can reach into Trinity's human heart to restart her and can see fire infrared or some shit w/o eyesight.

In the first movie, the story was kinda simple: machines went bad, the humans fought back, the sky was destroyed by them yadayadayadayada now humans are being harvested to give energy to the machines.
Then.....that part with the architect fucked everything up lol

Quentin Tarantino said that if it wasn't for the sequels The Matrix would be his favorite movie of all time. I can see that.

The sequels were the machines revenge on humanity. Machines 2, humans 1. Top that shit meatbags!
