The Venture Bros.

Operation PROM felt like a series ender. It was probably the high water mark for the series. That being said, I really enjoyed this year and I'm looking forward to learning more about the Monarch's past in season 6.

Show just doesn't feel like its going anywhere after Prom. Worse, seems like its reseting things back to status quo a bit.

I don't know, Moncarch's torture ruse might have been the single greatest moment in the show. That shit was hilarious. As for the finale. It tied up the stories in about the same way previous season finales did. I think the only problem was that some characters were missing in those final moments, so it felt a little emptier than PROM (Like Brock.)...But all in all, it was probably the second best finale in the shows run, and this whole season has been really good.

Maybe not super-exceptional, but I think that's because most of the exceptional moments come with Brock interacting with all their crazy antics. Without him adding his "what the fuck.." moments, it feels a little less epic, but it's still really funny.

Billy and White are pretty much the least interesting characters on the show. This season needed a TON more Dr. Orpheus.

Fuck!

Sadly, The Venture Bros. won't return for its sixth season until January 2015. But the creators may release an hour-long special in 2014 to assuage our Monarch-withdrawal.

Well, that just ruined my day

Last episode came out in August of 2010. It's reasonable to think it was cancelled. I'm happy that it didn't, that show is hilarious.

The BET episode alone is pure gold.

Even more Upfront news has been thrown out to us this morning. Titmouse is partnering up with Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick to bring us another awesome Venture Bros. special later this year. Here?s the haps:

If I had to speculate, this seems like it?s going to bridge seasons 5 and 6 together. Remember, at the beginning of S5, Jonas Jr. was hard at work on Gargantua-2 and needed Rusty?s help (which lead to Project: Palaemon (and we haven?t heard anything since).
