Hawkeye and Black widow are the absolute worst "super heroes" though. I mean come on! A guy using a bow and arrow vs the multiverse and a girl boss ninja. Those guys make falcon look like a real superhero!

It's kind of a joke to have powerless people in these kinds of films at all. Let alone acting like the black widows can fight monsters and mutants when they couldn't even beat up an under sized construction worker 6 beers deep at the local pub.

Yes super suits, magic arms, magic shields. Those fit the bill.

It's really just re-imagining of the Greek Myths, Norse sagas, heroic tales. Those are the source material. The heroes always needed some kind of magic weapons or were secret demigods to challenge the gods and demons. Some fat titty ninja just ain't cutting it.

i'm tempted to see this Thursday w/ my kids. it's been a while since we've seen something in the theater, we saw just about every marvel movie up to end game in the theater together. i'm trying to find a review that doesn't spoil the movie that lets me know this is worth going to the theater for.

Charlie's pre-spoiler review is pretty neutral

How do you listen to that guy with knowing he's got a giant wall of bobbleheads behind him that he's spent hundreds of dollars on.

Don't get me wrong I'm the same way with most of these assholes, but that guy seems to get linked quite a bit and every time I've tried to listen to one of his videos I just can't do it. It's hard enough trying to listen to one of the drinker videos because he's hardcore because he drinks, but yet I'm supposed to take him more seriously because he drinks.

I hate God damn social media and YouTube.

Also I really don't care if anything about this film or whatever MCU phase we're currently in. Can we just Thanos snap all the stupid superhero movies after endgame out of existence? Would probably be perfectly fine.

So, this trailer is pretty well done. I am going to go see this movie as it appears to be the best one since Spider-man no way home.

I don't mean it in a bad way. You are a stand out contributor.
No worries, I didn't take it as an insult.

Point being is a people can watch whatever the hell they want to, I just don't understand why a YouTuber like that is popular. There are a lot of other channels out there that I guess are more my speed. I was originally just bitching about the influencers and content creators stratosphere that has emerged, and now every Tom Dick and Harry either has a podcast or a commentary channel on something.

I also just can't take anybody seriously if they have a bunch of dolls behind them and a little anime Avatar or whatever the hell that is. It's like putting your pronouns in your email shit, you know you can write that person off, and I just immediately assume you're a fag if you have a little anime deal.

Yeah but do you have a katana, guitar, and a black powder pistol like Timmy Poole, or do you have a doll collection like Nerdrotic or this guy, I don't even know what his name is but the anime bobblehead Avatar dude.

At least Mark Dice just has a shelf of books that he's probably read or written.

I also don't do zoom calls, but I guess if I did you would see a cabinet with fly tying ingredients, maybe if you rods, and some boxes of ammo.

There's 2 credit scenes, one right at the end which is worth staying for.

Don't go in expecting suicide squad / guardians of the galaxy on earth.

What’s the asterisk for?

Spoils the ending or post credit (I cant remember which so only look if you really dont care)

They are hired on or anointed the New Avengers by the US Government, under the control of Val, after the film since the old ones disbanded or told the government to fuck off

Anyways based on reviews and The Void, I actually am going to go see this this weekend, its kidna weird being semi excited for a MCU film lol.

I saw this in early IMAX screening and really enjoyed it, solid 8.5/10 from me. Reminded me a lot of GOTG1. A lot funnier than I thought it was gonna be, good action, really simple story that doesn't really require any MCU back knowledge. Just basic shit like "Bucky = super soldier, Yelena = Black Widows sister".

Sentry was cool. Everyone really was great. Taskmaster was LOL Very, very small, focused cast and locations and story, no extra baggage or that stupid shit where Marvel tries to spin threads for future stuff that'll never happen.

Mid credits scene, and a long post credits (after ALL the credits!!) scene that connects directly to whats next and worth a watch.

best summary i can say: I don't regret seeing this in theaters

what the * means: Thunderbolts* --> The New Avengers plus Bob

Yeah, really enjoyed it. Accidentally saw it in 3D, guess I was only paying attention to anything but the times, but hadn't done that in a while so that was kinda fun.

Saw it on 3d, wish we skipped 3d. It was just the best show time I could take my kids to.

Best marvel movie in a while, assuming it's better than all the ones I skipped.

I thought they rushed sentry and then the void. Maybe a few other parts too. Barely 2 hours goes fast.

2 credit scene was probably the longest credit scene in any marvel movie

Wow, I actually enjoyed a Marvel Movie. It has been a minute.

The acting was solid with Florence Pugh getting a special nod. She really did a fantastic job with the father/daughter dynamic. The story is pretty simple but it was interesting to see how force is not always the answer. There were a few good laughs that kind of brought me back to the original avengers. The poster is a bit misleading as one of the people on it...well....

I was not surprised given the reviews, but that could have been a false flag. I am glad that the movie actually did live up to most of the hype.

The only thing I was kind of bummed out about was the lack of cameos. I was hoping to perhaps see certain heroes that revolved around the issues that some of the Thunderbolts were having. Was really surprised Kate Bishop did not make a showing given the relationship established with Yelena Belova, along with the final scene taking place in New York. I guess they had to keep the show time down.

It is worth the price of admission.

8.5/10
