eh... the language they use and Donatello's gadgets are fine, I think. They are teenagers growing up in new York city. Have you listened to teenagers lately? they sound retarded. and the gadgets have always been a part of Donatello's character so that doesn't really bother me much at this point. the whole thing just comes across as excessive. which, is Michael Bay so no one is surprised.

well if thats what all teenagers sound like now, then all the more reason to avoid this movie. i dunno how you can say sounding like a fuckwit is "fine" but to each his own. i will stick to that cheesy ass 1989 turtles film which still looks better than this dogshit.

To be fair, the kids weren't saying Cowabunga before the Ninja Turtles in the 80s either. Consistency wouldn't be Ninja Turtles using what is now popular slang. Most of the slang the Ninja Turtles used they themselves were responsible for making popular. Unless you think 80s kids were all surfer dudes.

Why do you keep saying Brooklyn accents. Only Raph in the movie had a Brooklyn accent. The cartoon turtles didn't have Brooklyn accents.

Cowabunga is 60s surfer slang that appears to have originated from fake holywood indian speak from old westerns.

later adopted by both TMNT and Bart Simpson.

In both cases it seems to be skateboarders adopting a surfer term into there vocabulary.
