Check out the settings and set it to auto refresh when it detects changes.

Duh. Had that as a setting before, but forgot to turn it back on.

Ok, so any ideas why 2 certain episodes remain at the front of my "Recently Added TV" , while other shows that have been added more recently populate behind it?

And Movies updates just fine. It wouldn't do it automatically, but when I'd click scan library files for Movies, it all works great. It's TV that's being a bitch. Weird meta data for those episodes or something?

Edit3: Yep, that's exactly it. Metadata was fucked.

Just cancelled my seedbox which was costing me roughly $20 a month and was barely being used, except for seeding. Have loads of bonus points on IPT and good ratio so don't need additional seeding.

Like probably most people here I've been downloading pirated content since the early days of the net, starting with MP3s direct from peoples homemade websites, napster, kazaa, edonkey to torrents. I used to stay up until 5-6am my time to grab episodes of 24 as soon as they were uploaded onto FTP sites - back when a US series wouldn't be broadcast on UK tv until months after the US broadcast.

Does anyone else feel like the Golden Age of TV that started with 24 has now peaked and we are oversaturated? Nothing seems to hold my attention anymore, Jack Ryan was shit, Maniac on Netflix got good reviews but didn't grab me and Start Up on Amazon Prime hasn't grabbed me either.

I feel like Netflix and Amazon Prime are replacing my need to use IPT, but Amazon Prime isn't a permanent subscription. There's not enough stuff to torrent that I can't get elsewhere that justifies me paying for the seedbox.

Movies also - I see the latest Marvel films at the cinema then they're on bluray within a couple of months. Jurassic Park was shit - didn't finish it. Everything else just seems like a big investment of time.

Right now I'm paying for Netflix all year round, I got a free years sub to Spotify with my last phone contract and will keep paying for that (because we use my account in the office for a communal playlist, so I can control it from my work pc lol).

My 21 year old self would think I'm such a square if he knew I'd be paying for content 16 years later

I agree for the most part except for Movies. I don't want to wait for them to show up on Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix, and so I typically use torrents for movies these days. I still maintain the downloads of dozens of shows I "watch", but typically will try and find the show on one of the previous said services first. Especially if I just got into an older show and binge watching it.

There are 2 things for you to check - one is On Deck, which monitors what you are currently watching, and the other are you library settings (which is what your problem is):

Settings - Library - about half way down is this - make sure it's not set to 0 - this controls the On Deck.

Go to Settings - Manage - Libraries - then hit Edit on your Library and make sure 'Include in dashboard' is checked. Do that for any you want to show up (or uncheck if you want to hide you porn or whatever).

Awesome! Changed the On Deck to 2 weeks. If you're not back in on it after that, it's gone! I like that a lot. I also don't have anything on Plex that I don't need to include, but very nice that there is that setting. I had no idea that it existed.

Honestly man, if you can't find good TV right now I just don't think you're trying unless your bar for good TV has just been reset artificially high because of the last decade of amazingness.

Is 24 the pinnacle of your kind of thing? If not, what are your favorites? I'm sure people can point you in the right direction for stuff you'd like.

Consequence of getting older. I'd question your taste given 24 is the bar, given I couldn't stand that show, or Lost, or most shit, honestly. No disrespect, we like our own things. It's the investment of time, when I'm ultimately doing nothing anyway but to be consuming it on something that fucking sucks is awful.

My asshole friend kept asking me if I'd seen Burn Notice... Ugh. Fuck you fine, I'll watch it. Literally popcorn fodder, filled the space, wasn't annoyingly bad. Wasn't amazing either. Wouldn't mind more of that.

I got sucked into Vikings, if you haven't seen that yet. The latter seasons kind of putter out, but the first 2.5 are solid entertainment.

Other than 24, what else has "sucked you in", as it were?

Never said 24 was the peak, so I dunno why two people think that I did

I said the current golden age of TV started with 24, as that helped move TV away from episodic narratives and also saw a movie actor move to TV

But you haven't stated anything beyond 24, just that it, to you, was what supposedly started a "golden age", and without any other point of reference, what else could we assume?

I don't need recommendations, for almost a decade I've used the TV section of this forum to stay aware of the latest US series. Plus Netflix presents all its latest releases as soon as you login.

i still don't understand why some of you bother w/ seedboxes/seeding and having private trackers. just get a decent vpn that has socks5, enter the settings into bittorrent, and it tunnels through the vpn when you click on a magnet torrent, 60bucks a year, set your torrents to remove when finished, and you're the ultimate leacher.

If everyone did that, there would be no one to torrent from. Some of us like having access to private trackers that might have something obscure we find ourselves looking for periodically. And private trackers require seeding. Or donations, but spending that donation money on seeding is way more effective.

Can't you basically donate 10 bucks a year to IPT and leech as much shit as you want?
$10 is 30GB (technically 15 but they perpetually have "Double Donations!!!1!1). So no. One 4K movie is around 50GB. A 1080p 1-hr show is 1-3GB or so, sometimes more if you need to get it immediately.

Sure, if you're one of those people that thrives on the 700MB full-length movie Xvid versions, you can get a lot more. But unless you only ever watch on your phone, or have to use satellite for your internet or something, I honestly have no idea who watches that crap.

What do people use nowadays to download torrents? I'm still using uTorrent on my old PC, it's an old ass version from before they plastered ads everywhere but since I'll be switching to another PC as my torrent PC I figure I should use something that was actually made in the past decade or so. Looking for just simple shit really, RSS feed downloads and preferably with a plugin which lets me send magnet links from another PC directly.

Qbittorrent. Open source and light-weight. Unsure about the two features you mention, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't have them or some way of adding them to it

Deluge is the lightest torrent ap, built on Python, built in encryption, with the ability to add extensions/plugins, blacklists, and SOCKS5 proxy. It can be synced with other aps to automatically download new torrents via RSS feeds, as well as automatically purge torrent files upon completion. It is pretty bare bones, but can do everything you want, and anything you can think of can be added with a little Python coding experience.

How about websites ? For tv shows and movies, I am happy with eztv and yts. But since the pirate bay is down, I have trouble findind old games... The only thing that remotely has old stuff is a archive of the old kickass torrents, but downloading from that site requires thousands of clicks.

And I dont mean retro games, just 4 or 6 years old games.
