Thanks LiquidDeath LiquidDeath for the NZB Geek recommendation. I'm surprised that it's up and going but free? After NZB Matrix crashed it was a mad dash to see who would come up in it's place, and the only ones I found were paid ones, and even then they didn't filter anything and it was just a hot mess trying to find anything.

NZB Geek looks organized enough I'd trust it to actually get movies for me. That's impressive.

I don't think you can fully sustain a newsgroup habit with only their free service. I waited for a sale and got a lifetime account for like 15 bucks. Matrix taught me a lesson, though, so I have two backup sites with lifetime accounts in case shit gets real again.

Just going to tell you now, invites to BTN are all but impossible. The requirements are beyond steep to buy invites. I'd have to bid millions of points to try and win an auction for a single invite. Only the highest couple of user classes are allowed to bid as well. Best of luck though!

I got a couple of invites available to a site I can't mention publicly (biggest, most desired porn site on the net) . Only 2 atm but I'm not giving them to some halfwit who joined like 3 days ago and has 0 rep.

I've been using Rarbg for years but I'm pretty clueless about this stuff - what does an invite get you? The site works great for me and I never got any invite.

Sinderella and Oppatime had a data breach and the entire database has been dumped publicly (rude, as they are porn trackers). If you were a member you might want to change any email addys/pwords you use on any trackers elsewhere.

When I was torrenting books a lot I just used an IRC thing, fuck me if I remember what it was though. Lately I've just been buying books, but honestly a lot of what I read I can read free with Prime/Kindle Unlimited.

You're thinking of IRCHighway #ebooks. Another is Undernet #bookz.

Other highly recommended accessories:
- Calibre for conversion to whatever format you need a book in.
- "Ebook Converter Bundle" to strip DRM from whatever books you do end up buying. I use this religiously in tandem with access to a digital college library. You can check out a book for a day, strip the DRM and export it to PDF/Epub in just a few seconds.

That's what I've used for years. You have to watch for a few minutes to figure out how to find a book you want, but after that it is incredibly easy. Sometimes they don't have a new book right away, but if it is popular it will show up soon.

Big plus to Calibre also. If you set it up properly and go to your Kindle account on Amazon to allow a specific email address, you can send books straight from Calibre to your Kindle. Even if you don't have a Kindle you can install the Kindle app on a device and use it the same way.

@a_skeleton_03 or others that use Plex... so I got new computer parts, and had to redo my storage drives. Get Plex all setup and stuff, and it works just fine, however, for some reason my "Dashboard" page, or the "Home" screen, whatever it's called doesn't ever update. This is the page that shows recently added TV, Movies, Music.

I'll add movies, and TV shows, and it never updates? It's annoying AF, because then I have to go into TV, or Movies specifically, to see new shits that's been added. Any ideas?

Check out the settings and set it to auto refresh when it detects changes.
