Not saying that it will exactly work the same way nowadays, but many years ago when I first started there and literally only had DSL to upload with, I downloaded a 1GB "Girls Go Wild" freeleech and left it on there for months. I got over 100GB of upload off of that one file alone. And mountains of bonus points. The bonus points work a little differently today I believe, but still, 100x upload isn't bad at all.

I wish I could donate points to others though. I have over 100k bonus points now, and even if I remember to delete a torrent right away, I'm never going to use all those points. That's not even counting my 37TB of upload cushion. Granted, I've had a seedbox for years now, but I was way up even on DSL, trust me. I just left my computer on and able to seed day and night. That's all it really takes, you don't need to spend money at all.

Hmm, I've got an account on Redacted, but apparently I'd need to upload 5 torrents to get invites. I can see if I've got some shit laying around that would get me that, but it won't be immediate, so maybe someone else already has them.

I'm also a member of Metal Download, Rock, Heavy music for free! | Metal Torrent Tracker but for the life of me I can't find a single mention of invites. I'm just a member there, not Power User or anything (I've literally downloaded one torrent and seeded it for over 50GB worth!), so maybe it simply doesn't show up for me. But I remember just signing up a few years ago with an open signup. Maybe you can too. They definitely, definitely have a ton of death metal there. They put out a weekly email with popular uploads and it always contains tons of bands I've never heard of with their names written in that particular death metal style, so as long as you don't need FLACs (which is why I don't use it much), you'd probably be golden. Let me know if you can sign up or not, and I'll inquire about invites if you can't.

Pretty new to torrenting and trying to keep a healthy ratio, but for the past week qbittorent hasn't been uploading any of my files despite having some fairly new and active titles. Haven't changed any settings from fresh install despite forcing said files. Any ideas on what I can check to fix this?

I have spectrum, seems to be shutting down my internet whenever I try to get a torrent...

Is that even a thing?

They won't outright block your access to any site, but if a link is reported to them by some agency (most notably Sony), if you access that site (say the #1 torrent result for Iron Man 3 on Pirate Bay) you'll get a warning on your account, which prompts a page on your browser regardless of which device you're using to connect through the same modem, and it forces you to agree to "not do it again" before releasing access to the internet.

If you access said site through a VPN, they have no idea, and torrent data when pulling partial files via p2p is non-descript data and encrypted (assuming you turn it on). Some folks prefer a seed box, which is another virtual system in the random abyss of the internet cloud that pulls torrents for you, and pipes them to you via encrypted FTP (or other methods).

Might have to do a seedbox for empornium. Did one for IPT, and it was well worth the time and money.
