I saw this trailer during the finale of Sharp Objects last night and had cognitive dissonance all night about how or why they would have made Chris Rock look nothing like himself in this show. It wasn't until I woke up the next morning that I remembered that it was Fargo that Chris Rock was going to be in and not True Detective.

It's not even that. It's 50/60's Arkansas, was there even a single black cop in the entire state then? I honestly don't know but that would seem the strangest thing to me off the bat.
I'm not one for race baiting shit, but I'd be down for some depravity brought on by some Arkansas good old boys trying to keep a black man out of a position of authority in the law. Just keep it grounded and without the preachiness and it could work.
