McAdams character has huge hang ups on sex which we learn in basically every other scene with her. her reaction to web cam masturbation being the most telling. ie she is a prude. So it stands to reason she would date a normal guy and do normal sex stuff. Then she's like all "put it in my butt" and he's like "wut, you never let me do that before, i'm not ready"

I don't know. I keep watching this scene over and over and the only thing I can take away from it is that's its something he wouldn't expect a prude to do. ie Anal. maybe minor rape fantasy shit like "hold me down" or "pull my hair".

I don't know where the fuck you guys are getting the knives or strap on shit from. it's clear that it's her wanting him to do something to her and that it took him totally by surprise, since she's such a fucking prude.

I get what you're saying, but I don't know what universe you're saying it in. What guy who's not like an awkward 14 yr old virgin is going to balk at fucking his girl in the ass, or light rape fantasy shit.

Also, that one line : "I just didn't think that most women" would seem to indicate that she's not a prude, just pretty average sexually.

It would take a writer assuming the audience is full of prudes to set up that much controversy around a seemingly average chick actually being into anal.

The writers have clearly conveyed the following things about Mcadams' character:
1. She has daddy issues;
2. She enjoys something sexual that most women wouldn't normally request from their partner;
3. has an "outside the bedroom" persona that is clearly opposed to things she considers sexually exploitative and;
4. has a drinking/gambling/authority problem.

That's really all we know right now. The scene where she is kicked out of the casino suggests that she is experiencing some type of cognitive dissonance that is likely driving her compulsive behavior (drinking, gambling). I'd say it's likely a conflict between her own sexual compulsion and her "outside the bedroom" persona (which appear to be at odds). Maybe her father sexually abused her and her sister as children? Both sisters came away with deep-seeded psychological scars, but those scars manifested themselves differently in each sister (Antigone and Athena). For example, Antigone keeps her "demons" in the closet and disparages her sister for revealing hers to the world. Who knows?

It looked like him for sure. Caspere(the character) isn't credited in the first episode, so it may have been him.
