Also, someone should mention, I thought the Mitchum brothers and the hot ass sisters were kind of a throwaway joke or something, but they have turned into some of my favorite characters in the return.

I was wondering today why the fuck they always ask Candy to do stuff, since she is too retarded to recognize her own name most of the time. Then I realized, idk if I've ever seen them ask the other two for anything. What if Candy is the smartest of the three?

Been wondering the same thing. I had no idea they were sisters to the brothers until now. Thought they were escorts on retainer

You guys give up on this show for now? Just got around to Sunday's episode, and it was one of the best episodes so far this season. The bulk of it actually happened in Twin Peaks. Still stuck with DerpCoop but pretty sure we are getting closer to getting Agent Cooper back.
I called it quits a while ago. I'm a fan the original Twin Peaks but the untethered Lynch art project version of it I can't bother with.

That episode definitely took a different turn than I expected. That with the weird people switching in the diner that only Shelley notices a few episodes back makes it apparent that the whole town is being influenced by the lodge instead of just specific people.

Edit: In the scene after the guy bursts in everyone in the restaurant changes and Shelley gives a quick "wait...." look before going back to work.

I would say my interest in this show now is almost entirely invested to see if David Lynch can actually tie all this shit together to make an ending that makes sense to the average viewer.

I am still watching out of blind loyalty to the original brand but this shit is like Lost on some heavy duty drugs. By the end of every episode I am just sitting there like, wtf just happened and why did it happen. The full Lynch is terrifying to behold.

Quitting halfway through any Lynch project is always a mistake.

It's pretty much what I expected and hoped for. The Lynch episodes of the first two season of Twin Peaks were always my favorites by far, and the lodge and general mythology of Twin Peaks was always my favorite thing about the show. There's a reason why about half of season two Twin Peaks was pretty bad, it was because Lynch wasn't involved with it.

In my opinion this Twin Peaks season is hardcore fan service ; if you never watch any Twin Peaks back in the day you probably shouldn't watch the return since it didn't age so well. It requires so much of viewer's attention, 90' era TV show vibe and David Lynch's boogaloo. Personally I love it mostly because of the high quality production value (they managed to get like 99% of the original cast and decors) and the nostalgia googles syndrome I could be arsed of. In a time where capeshit TV shows and licences are the norm, Twin Peaks Return stand around, especially their music endings.

I thought the last music act was the best so far, played really well into the scene as well.

The most disappointing part, by far, is Audrey. I just expected something totally different. There are a lot of theories about her actually being dead, in a coma, a soap actress, etc. But knowing Lynch, it's probably none of those things. Probably just straight up, she's a screechy bitch who's married to some weird looking dude and they have this awful relationship.

I thought the same as you until last week - that whole mess at the door, I don't think she can leave that house she's in. Something is definitely wrong with her whole situation. Weird dude is patient as hell though, that is for sure.
