There's going to be a camslut section of Twitch?

Fairly soon, I'd imagine what with the breastfeeding mother holding her case up with twitch.

May be MILF porn, but you know... Those camsluts gotta feed their kids somehow.

Unwatchable, to me, is waaaay different than boring. Unwatchable would be a porn movie centered on the guy's face in a lesbian scene. Dude, WTF?

Boring is just laying there taking the pipe, no movement, no sound, just the bed squeaking away. Shroud is definitely boring.

Which may equate to unwatchable for some of you.

I won't lie. I been watching more Mixer the past few days than Twitch. It doesn't have near the content and streamers but it has some cool ones and for whatever reason Mixer runs MUCH better and in better quality than Twitch ever has for me. Also Fuck Amazon Dem dirty bitches( but I luvs me Prime )

Shroud is great when he’s gaming with buddies. When he’s grouping with doc its fucking hilarious cause shroud is the nicest streamer in existence.

i wonder what kind of deal $50m gets. like is that just a base "you stream only on mixer", or minimum number of hours, etc. that is just a crazy number though, beats like 90% of hollywood actors
Think of the contract like what a pro athlete gets.
probably a base line signing bonus (big enough to lure away from twitch), viewer count based bonuses, x number of hours streamed bonuses, has to to number of events promoting the platform. Events are non negotiable. If MS wants him to do an event in Mongolia, he has to do it. Has to actively promote various product while streaming (has very little to say what those products are).

I bet he saw that he has pretty much peaked at twitch and after you peak, you flatline and after that you decline. And in streaming that can happen very fast. He saw an opportunity to make enough money in a couple of years not to have to work a single day like a regular joe in his life and took it. I mean, who wouldn't.

Yeah the number of people butthurt and screaming sellout and shit make me laugh. As you said who wouldn't in their right mind take that fucking deal. Dude is set for life gets to ride that streaming dick for a couple of years like a rockstar and can pretty much do whatever the fuck he wants afterwards. The other streamers mad at him are just jealous they aren't popular enough to get those contracts.

Most of the streamers I follow and enjoy are in the ~10-300 viewer range. So I guess they won't be snitched by MS any time soon, so Twitch is safe with me so far lol.

my general view is that if a streamer has more than 10k viewers on average he/she is a sellout, playing some fotm game or doing something very gimmicky which appeals to large masses. Only exceptions to that was TB and now Cohh. People I follow usually only have a few k max viewers at best time. Which is fine.
I'd rather watch (usually the stream is on background, so it's more listening) someone enjoying what they do rather than playing an obvious character on screen, sucking up to chat or slinging merc or begging for subs

the free games this month are such a fucking joke. 3 shitty old mobile ports and a clunky kitchen automation game

the competiton for "free" games now is totally wild - you got the epic game stores which seems to snag the best, xbox games with gold and gamepass put out really good stuff for now, whatever bullshit amazon prime and Sonys PS+ want to put out, EA's Origin Access and Humble Monthly bundle, indiegala has its own indiegala collection which is basically new devs making their first game, and soon google stadia and ubisoft's premium will join the competition for games to offer.

As a dev you could probably focus on JUST making games for these "free" services and make a decent living

as a consumer its getting harder and harder to justify paying $60-100 for a game, a lot of newer games just have no mind space at all. I'm not paying $60 to play control or Ancestors , I'll probably get it free in gamepass in 3-6 months.

I can guaranfuckingtee you Ninja will be the world's biggest Halo Infinite streamer when it comes out. He originally started out as a Halo pro player and guess what comes out on PC the same as Xbox for the first time ever? That's right, the next Halo game. Oh and Microsoft just signed him to Mixer? What a coincidence!

Pretty sure Twitch

I separate streamers into two groups. Entertaining or educational. Like I can tolerate people with no charisma if they are really good at the game and can teach you some tricks on how to improve. Especially in games that require a lot of skill.

Otherwise I just want theme to entertain me. Like Asmongold. Loltyler1 is my favorite streamer as his antics and general attitude are legitimately hilarious. He is also extremely good at League.

Lirik doesn't really fit that bill either.

Neither does MoonMoon. MoonMoon is the most honorable streamer you'll probably fucking find out there. And he'll rant about all sorts of streaming stuff which you may agree with or not agree with, but generally he has experience. The fact he'll tell people he's turned down like 20k advertisers to play their game for 6 hours or whatever and then megafucks like Shroud take the money is pretty telling. Moon has made a few million and he's basically said it afforded him the ability to do what he wants. Play different games and interact with his community. Most of the big streamers just do "enough" for their community and go wherever the dollars are.

Moon has some great rants about Shroud taking ad money for game studios while making almost a million a month.
