Lag is fixed, server is smooth and hasnt crashed all day, and there are tons of people playing.
Now to be competitive in pvp you need every action hotkey'd or hotkeyed to a macro that optimizes your every move, damn i feel like a noob watching youtube videos on how to set everything up

Whats the population like?

It's definitely alive and still really interesting because nobody has a 7x so there's people doing shit that normally is empty on other shards.

Been over 1000 clients online quite a bit today. They upped it back up to 3x accounts per IP but still very nice.

Im still waiting to unleash my provomage on destard hopefully dragons/drakes at least drop some decent money.

If you arent barding you're stuck with blade spirit spam, which has been do-able since day 1... alot of elite pvpers have been doing it early and
scared/griefed my 2 man team away from the best spots... i just learned how bad i sucked after seeing all of the macro's that are required to compete at pvp.

I am totally and utterly lost. So long since I played.

Any suggestions on firsts builds/where to go ?

What initial build/skills do you recommend for this solo ?
