Main FTP restriction is gear. Lots of your quest rewards and dungeon finds won't be usable unless you purchase unlockers or sub.

Just a heads up for the few who may have came back to VG just to find out they are shutting it down; I subbed 3 accounts and dropped 50 bucks on SC a week prior to the announcment (subs were for 3 months). I sent support an email and said I wanted a refund on my SC and full subs and they replied within 24 hours saying they would refund all SC and full sub prices so kudos to them for not being douche's. IR still sad

Not that I think Brad deserves another chance at the helm but I do hope his game makes it on KS because its the only thing on the potential next few year horizon that may peak my interest to get back into dedicated MMO's. I put up 250 for it, fuckers need to go land some damn Dubhi oil tycoons or some shit.

So today there was supposed to be a 15min maintenance that has turned into "something fucked up we don't know when shits coming back online". It's only been a few hours but I can't help but wonder if VG died or something.

Recently been some weird shit in the game like tombstones (corpses) are simply no more so everyone has to eat XP loss on death.

Reminds me of the Ray Ramano (I think) stand up routine about intentionally messing up taking out the trash enough your wife forbids you from taking out the trash. But in this case the Vanguard playerbase has just kept picking trash up off the floor. And Vanguard devs are finally just resorting to yelling "WE DON'T WANT TO TAKE THE FUCKING TRASH OUT EVER AGAIN."

Apparently the last patch introduced memory leaks, along with a bunch of issues. On the VG board people have been saying the Code has been decaying for over a year now with more and more issues each patch.

Some guys on the VG board actually predicted the games code might be so fucked SOE might say fuck it a couple days ago.

SoE would prob have to refund a ton SC and subs if it goes down. So hopefully they will put in the effort to get it back running.

I think it's more likely they speed up the closing date.

If anything Vanguards still consistent, I remember every major patch breaking the game. Ill never forget the APW one that caused 3 second lag for 2 weeks lol.
