My job breaks my nails all the time. Nothing I love more (aesthetically) than paying my tiny Korean lady down the street to do my nails with french tips, but that's a thing of the past unfortunately unless I get a cush lil desk job that pays similarly (unlikely!). I had something to do in the west end of my city a couple of days ago, and they have a place there called Hobby Lobby and it's huge! We have Michael's and Joanne's for craft stores 'round 'ere that are chains and are fine for most things but Hobby Lobby blows them out of the water. Really cool place for crafters. So I was browsing Hobby Lobby and boom:



Found inspiration in the oddest place... the cake section. I found my "spikes"... picked up two packs, and also found a harder, smoother 4 inch ball there too. It's time to finish this piece of shit.


Superglueing small tack nails into the base of the little "spikes".


Attached and spray-painted (the veiny "cracks" were odd... was it too cold outside?)


Handle was wrapped up like a mummy and the head was taped up, ready to be painted!

Whew! I did it! It's been a journey. I'll say it again; I'm no pro at this, so I know there's probably a ton of things that could've been done better, but I'm damn proud of finishing this because I truly had no clue if I even could finish it when I made this thread and it feels amazing to be done with it. Just an overzealous nerd with a dream to be blunt. Thanks to all of you who gave tips and help and cheered me on
