On the veggy vitamins front how do people feel about avacado's other than too many millenials loving it on toast. My understanding was it was a pretty good nutrient bomb other than being kinda high calorie/fats as well? (Yes I know it's technically a fruit before Gavin gets up in here)
Healthy fats though. 2-3 per week wouldn’t be bad. To add to that, have pecans and walnuts just as often for more healthy fats and omega 3s.

Decade ago when I was trimming a few lbs was my go to skip lunch until dinner snack was walnuts w/ some dried cranberries mixed in just to keep it palatable.

I hate hate hate trying to select good avacados, but I admit I love them. But I dont think just buying any of the premade guacamole really counts as a good alternative.

Premade Guac is terrible and most of them dont even have much avocado in them. Some are all sour cream based.

No no no, don't get anything premade.
For the best pecans or walnuts ever: Add a pound of said nuts to a large mixing bowl, pour in a quarter cup of Franks Hot Sauce (or hot sauce of your choice), a quarter cup of soy sauce, and salt to taste. Spread them out on a baking sheet and bake in the over for 25-30 minutes.

I'm a strong believer in having healthy fats every day, there's a lot of proven positive benefits. But the amount you need to eat to hit the levels needed is very small. Sardines and herrings are my preferred vector. Far less calorie dense and give a better balance of things your body needs. Healthy fats in the form of nuts and avocado are a dangerous road for people who have BMI issues, they are extremely calorie dense and easy to overeat. They can forgoe the positive benefits until they lose weight.

I'm too white for hot sauce maybe some valentina. Maybe take the calorie hit since I'm not really worried about losing weight, just better quality, and lightly honey glaze.

I like sardines in fancier Asian ramen, though I can't really do it at work, people of course don't like the smell. At home it's rate I get my own meal rather than being a 2 person meal with wife

Losing weight >> worrying about healthy fats. Take a cod oil pill.

If ya'll are trying to lose weight and don't want to be a starving concentration camp victim, carnivore works wonders. Eat all the meat you want, but only once a day. I blew off like 60 lbs in 3 months and with a fuck ton of cheating and no exercise. Prepare for a jet stream to come out your ass for the first month or so though as your body adjusts.

No changes in willpower will almost assuredly come with gaining all of that weight back when whoever falls off of whatever "wagon" theyre attached to. I did your diet years ago, and it works. But I gained it back when I got sick of the diet and didnt want to do it anymore. GLP shots have the same pitfall along with procedures and similar "shortcuts".

The only way I've kept off my weight for the last handful of years without any bounce back is directly related to my portion control, planning, and at least knowing "roughly" what amount of calories Im eating when I go out. There isnt a single occasion where I dont eat something absolutely delicious and cry out like a little bitch inside my head that I cant have anymore. There are still nights where I fall asleep looking forward to breakfast.

Also, not to knock that diet in particular - a person on a Carnivore, Keto, or similar diet rarely notices that they smell like "used oil" to people around them. Its not from aging, or lack of cleanliness. It is directly related to the diet.

smell like used oil or look like cottage cheese in a bag. I'll take the oil. Good luck with your starvation control diet

Can you make a complete thought here? Are you trying to say portion control isn't important for weight loss/weight control? What is your actual argument?

Reminder also you're in the grown up thread. Challenge his ideas, don't call names or call people out. If his ideas are wrong, explain why.

" this is a grown up thread. no need for this"

i'll take your warning and mosey on out of this intellectually-dishonest antisemetic-infested shithole of a forum. Been here since Kunark, sheriff, saw it turn into a complete dump.

Seems like a bit of an overreaction, but have fun out there.
