Yea. It's a hefty chunk of my budget. Luckily she doesnt say that shit in class because is the type of special school with uniforms, not grape flavored walls.

At the very minimum, it should be illegal for someone to require payment by check. Fuck that shit, as soon as there was any other method of payment available checks should have ended. You're standing at the grocery checkout with your wallet in hand, your debit card is in your wallet, but youre gonna write a check? No, fuck that, why is this still a thing?

This backward ass town I live in has places that will only take a check. Or they charge YOU the 3% to use a credit card. When we moved here I cancelled my American Express as no one would accept it, so there was no reason to keep paying for it. I can get behind ending checks though. When we moved here we got some cute checks my wife liked (M&M's I think), we have not used more than 1 group of them , I think there are like 20 to a group? and we moved here 11 years ago.

My mom wrote a check for one of the kids in a christmas card. Like, hourly wage speaking, it's not worth my time going to the bank for even 10x the amount she wrote. The apps don't work because it's the kiddos name on it. Who still does that?

Such a boomer thing. My parents do that shit too. The phone rings and they will literally get up from the dinner table to go get it.

It doesnt even rustle me, I find it hilarious.

Whats worse is my inlaws. They'll answer their cell phone while still sitting at the table.
