Agree to disagree, plot isn't so idiotic as the rest but I still don't like the modern audience casting and hairstyles and shit.

In hindsight ds9 has some issues. But I think anything after tng/ds9 are just not really star trek. You might have a interesting or decent episode here or there but it just doesnt really feel the same. Some of it may just be the mixing in more modern language, need to try and add all the zingers etc, sassy bitches for no reason etc.

Like the first new jj Abrams explosions everywhere movie kinda won me over just for a visual spectacle and just an action movie in trek clothes, but that got stale and worse writing by the second movie.

The problem with SNW, Academy etc. is regardless of how /they/ themselves are crap or not crap- they are all tangents of Discovery - heck even Picard, even if not directly.

Discovery /really really REALLY/ destroyed Trek. It destroyed Trek so much that even the JJ universe got taken out with it, people kinda would have liked to have had the 4th JJ-verse movie- but nooooo , the Discovery and "Discovery-esque" movies and shows were just THAT BAD.
