I don’t know why, but I remember this more than the Cosby show. Probably because it was created by J Michael Strazinski.
I once ran into JMS in the hallway of a small sci-fi con a decade ago or so.

I talked him up for a little bit, congratulated him on his Spiderman run.

shook hands with him and promptly caught a cold the next day

The local news anchor said that Ozzy had been the "main injection [of creativity] into Black Sabbath" (roughly translated). Yeah, good choice of words there lol.

Anyway, RIP a legend. He was the soul of Black Sabbath (if not the talent, that goes to Tony Iommi).
I mean, not to shit on his legacy or anything, because he did have a distinct voice. But he, or his bitch wife, actually re-recorded and re-issued a ton of shit so that people that actually wrote those songs and lyrics would not get credit for them. He barely did anything other than showing up and singing. 1/2 the time too inebriated to even do that correct. I saw it on some documentary or some shit. He basically used up people and then shat on them later. I dont know if it was actually him or his wife though. I guess she ran the show when it came to that crap.

And yet, Taylor Swift did the same thing (kind of) and everyone loved her for it.

I went to the Metal thread earlier and saw the lineup for his farewell concert. I had seen some clips of it not even realizing that's what it was, but holy shit that lineup was insane.

He was probably a cunt too but I definitely think the mega bitch was his wife. I remember listening to a video of Jake E Lee talking about how he found out he was kicked out of the band over the radio. They didn't even bother to tell him.

There was a pretty epic story of Bruce Dickinson saying something about it's impressive Ozzy is able to sing so well at his age, or something to that effect. Sharon hates it and when Iron Maiden was performing kept cutting their power off so he just sang with out any music or anything when they did. Think she also threw eggs at them.

Hope she roasts.

Saw him in 86 in Toronto for the ultimate sin tour with queensryque opening for him. Great show, great music and an amped up crowd. RIP.

I can't be sad about Ozzy dying, the fact that he lived this long is astounding. I hope he donated his body for medical study, I am sure all kinds of interesting things can be learned about drug abuse on the human(ish) body, brain, and organs given the life he lived. Remember the myth about him biting the head off a bat during a live concert back before the internet, a meme in it's own before memes? Ahhh, fare thee well Mr. Osborne.

WTF you mean myth?

He did bite the head off a bat that was thrown on stage and was then rushed to the hospital to get a round of rabies shots.

Ozzy hurts the same way Grandma who died of stage 4 lung cancer hurts. If you haven't seen this coming and been preparing for it for the last 10 or 20 years, I dunno what to tell you. Guy's been on borrowed time since the 70s.
